what to do

I am wondering what is the best specs to give my transformer? I see a lot of people with strenth and speed but I dont know what is the best one to pick.
When I look back at the posts I made all those years ago, my grammar makes me want to hurl.

I prefer the speed, and I think when Psychout comes around he'll say INT.. hehehe but umm yeah.. anyway. I Speed will help, courage will allow you to strike more often. It really just comes down to you.

Right now I shouldn't be giving any advice as I have recently screwed up a good team with some bad build choices but it boils down to these factors.
1.) Alt modes
2.) Primary, Secondary, Tactics
The basic build (Action Master) does not have any tactics. This means that your primary focus would be on the the Primary Stats: (STRENGTH, SPEED, COURAGE).
STRENGTH: Primary attack damage will come from this. This will help also modify weapon damage to an extent. This stat is also great because it determines the amount of armor your character can wear. 5 points of Strength means that your character can wear 5 points of armor. The more armor you have the the better your melee defense will be.
SPEED: This is a pretty unique stat. This has an effect on most other stats. The more speed you have the the better better your chances are to hit the enemy. The higher your speed the more likely you are to have enemy basic attacks to miss.
COURAGE: This stat determines your frequency of attacks. The higher your courage the more frequently you will attack.
Tactics:
Ram: This tactic primarily relies on Strength
Avoid: This tactic primarily relies on Speed
Repair: This tactic primarily relies on Int from what I am told
Strafe: This tactic is suppose to primarily rely on Firepower, however I have seen better results off of courage and speed mixtures.
Once you Start picking Alt Modes however you should choose your stats to reflect your alt modes.
but as Sustain says it really comes down to you.

See this is how it comes down to personal opinion. I don't think Strength is the primary thing. I use Speed Endurance and Courage. In that order as well.

Well I actually used those three as Primaries because of the wiki as well as popular consensus through the boards history.
Since people start off with simple and easy builds (Strafers/Repairers are a bit more complicated at low levels).
I do appreciate your build. Once I finish my week long test on Nyteshade and my other avoidance build I was actually going to reformat her to be a bit like the Sustain build you are using and test out the build for a week since I like that alt mode for her. My old build worked really well for lvl 0 and lvl 1, but following along my plan absolutely bombed on lvl 2 and looks like it would only get worse for lvl 3.

When I build other than the fact that I don't want my entire team to have the same build, I work from an action master point of view. Big amounts go into specs before they go into tactics, whatever is left and the XP coming in after that go in to the tactics since they are cheaper. Once the tactic gets up fairly high and the alt comes around I will shift that XP into another spec and rebuilt the tactic again.

I build on a slightly different strategy. My is based upon limits and probability. I approach it the same as you (action master first), however my tactics are peppered depending on the upper bound test that I want to try.
For example Darq has two tactic options but only one is slightly developed. Nyteshade on the other hand has one tactic that I wanted to test to see what the upper bound of an over developed tactic would play like in over a heavy primary stat would look like. Decryption is a split tactic build while Anshin is an inverse of the two tactic build with stats being the primary focus.
Granted most of you have been doing this longer than I have (I just got back into the game probably around November of 2010) and built them up to where I am from LVL 0 and just enough xp to fill 2 stats each. Over half of my 12 bots are experimental builds with a majority of them as deviation builds from limit tests.
Every two weeks I go through the top 25 transformers for each level and compare their stats, builds, effectiveness, % won in arena, % won in missions, etc and run my test builds against them to see how my numbers match for similar builds.

XP has a lot to do with it too. You can only deal with what you have and as you gain some you can switch things around as they will have more impact the higher the stat or tactic is. Sustain right now has 8 avoid and 9 speed so she's not getting hit as much as she used to. Normally I would reset and move that 8 speed Xp into something else, but I think I may leave her as is for now. it is working well.

Truer words have never been muttered..
I agree that her build is good. That is why I really can't wait till Wednesday so I can finish with my data gather and rebuild Nyteshade and Decryption. I am so unhappy with about 1/3 of my builds right now but I am too stubborn to just rebuild them without collecting the data I need.
