Motto: "I still function!"
Weapon: Plasma Beam Rifle
FABs are made for younger children. The transformation is simpler and they have a spring loaded attack function. Normally it's just the waist that spins. The articulation is also worse.

Deluxe for lack of a better word is the real version of the movie figure. They're part of the main line of transformers for the movie. Normal articulation, transformation etc.

*EDIT* Never mind, sorry, I got confused with the Fast Action Battlers, and those other stupid little Throttlebot wannabe things. I say get the Deluxe, they're proper figures. Honestly, why the hell do they need to have multiple concurent gimmicks reusing the same toys. Am I the only one who's getting sick and bloody tired of seeing movie Bumblebee on everything? We've got: Two diferent kinds of Deluxe, Fast Action Battler, retarded Throttlebot thing, Stomp N' Go or whatever, stupid MP3 Player, Legend, Keychain, it's a bloody overload.

Deluxe figures are the "true" representation of the movie characters.

FAB's, as stated by others have been made, and marketed for younger children, with smaller hands. They have much simpler transformations, and usually consist of a panel per limb, twist or slide the panel to reveal the robot mode.
I have FAB Ratchet, and he literally takes 8 seconds to transform, compared to Deluxe Barricade (who imo is the easiest to transform) takes at least 30.

If you are purchasing for a child under the age of about 9, FAB's would be the way to go, but they are good for any collector.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.
