Also, the fact that its not well enough protected against Ram. When you get Rammed, if you have a lower strength than the Rammer you get stunned, and if you are outnumbered that means near certain shutout. That happens to strafer a lot.

Concentrate more on building up STR, SPD and CRG. With enough STR, you won't need a weapon at the lower levels, melee will do quite a bit of damage. So much FRP (even with a weapon to match it) is a waste if you can't make it count.

My bot is one level lower, earns roughly 5 digits per 1-11 mission and 4 on average per level mission.

However you have to consider the tactics you are using and why you are using them.
With Repair you need to be in the 1-11 fights and with larger levels on your side. Repair does not work on yourself. Repairs on same/lower levels will work great, but you will not get high XP yields. This build (Battle Station) uses INT as its modifier
With Strafe you need more targets (again 1-11), or more chance to fire off strafe. High Courage and Speed will help with this. Also high firepower will help with Strafe.
Psychout brings up a good point about rammers, however if you are building a glass cannon (All damage/Repair no defense) then points into strength will take away from your other tactics.
Personally (this is just me) I would look at Absolute_Zero's Strafe/Repair and Zordon's Strafe Repair.
I would also personally reduce the firepower down to 5 or 3 and boost the Courage up to 6 or 7 and int up to 3 or 5.
If you wanted to build a damage spec for lower/mid level game and then do repair starting lvl 6 I would drop the int, drop the repair tactic and put points into strength, end, rnk (2 pts) and help reduce the damage taken. At 6 you will have 9 points to build your repair tactic up solid while having a solid strafer to keep you in the damage field.

switch fpr with str and end with crg and you'll do much better. you could also move the 2 from skl to rank.

Strafe damage will suffer a bit, but unlike the tactics, strafe also feeds itself for damage.

Honestly, you will get a random Ram stun unless you have 10 strength. Having a 3/2 Firepower/skill would give you a battle blade (one of the better weapons) and allow you to raise some of your other stats.
Again I would ask you what you are looking to do damage or repair or both. Listening to people without reason is going to just make you frustrated.

One thing I forgot to add is that yes, lowering your Firepower will lower your effectiveness of your Strafe, but not necessarily the damage. Strafe is not like other stats, You will keep going till you have a bad roll (miss/failed attack). Having higher strafe typically allows you to keep strafe going.
Weapon damage does have, from what I have seen a modifier built in for strength. So you may do slightly more damage by having a higher strength. However don't think that 7 strength plus a level 1 weapon will do more damage than 10 strength by itself, or that 10 strength does more damage than a level 6 weapon with 6 strength.
Having higher strength means that you are more likely to resist the relatively low chance of "stun" effect. It also allows you to wear more armor (which will allow you to mitigate damage to a lower level). That is why people are suggesting a few points to rank for better armor.
Honestly though your build wasn't bad, the vast overhaul is not necessary. Some of what you are going through are just bad rolls.

my experiences with weapons are that 5 str or better does more damage than weapons who's combined stat cost is less than 10.

On average you are right (doing a 5str 0 firepower test vs 0str 5fpr/skill combo).
Some things such as the Battle Blade do spike damage (Extremely high damage) that gives it on par with 8strength.
However a battle blade with 5str will always do more damage more than just 5 strength. As for damage with weapons you and Alldarker helped me test a few months back with similar stats and builds. Believe it or not Black Magic does relatively the same damage as a Laser Blazer Sword with the LBS doing higher top end and more consistent damage. However the damage gradient between the two is low for common attacks.
Now if we are talking about strafe damage then higher strafe helps with more strafe, LBS does higher damage in Strafe than Black Magic, and so forth.
