I'm torn between two of my favourite Transformers, Dead End and Razorclaw, who happen to be combiner individuals... Now to decide on my fave...

I would say the Stunticons are my favourites, but I do have to add that I'm quite partial to the Combaticons and the Predacons, too.

Devastator. In fact I'm about to get a Dev 1985 Gift Set MIB for about $170, the most I've ever spent for a 'single' (it counts to me) Transformer. Here's some reasons why I dig Big D -

- "PREPARE FOR EXTERMINATION"

- No other Decepticon ever struck fear into the Autobots. Megatron, Galvatron, heck, even Trypticon... the 'bots just get POed and charge these guys. Not Devastator. In the movie Kup and Hot Rod looked like they were about to crap themselves when Kup whispered "...Devastatah..."

I love the dichotomy of the separate parts of the gestalt and Devastator himself. The Constructicons - they build stuff by name. Devastator? He SMASHES stuff by name! Brilliant!

That's a toughie!

Toy, I have to say oversized KO Bruticus. My first Ebay purchase and what all G1 gestalts should be. If they were, then it would be Menasor and Defensor. Would kill for those 2 in the same style.

Also have an oversized Build King? Not sure of name. The Japanes Autobot colour of Energon Micromaster Devestator. Like KO Brute, he's about same size as Energon Omega Supreme or Unicron. Love to see it in Devestator colours.

Officially, Universe Devestator recolour from RID Landfill.

Love to see all combiners get proper Classics treatment not Energon combiner repaints. Have to agree with the Technobots getting Classics treatment. Would love a Deluxe Nosecone. Just looking at my WSTF version beside WS Sideswipe and wished the original was bigger and in scale with G1 Sideswipe.

Generally it's Bruticus for me, but you make a really good argument for Devestator. The Constructicons did fill the enemy with dread.

The Stunticons. They may have the smallest Gestalt toy, but their character personalities intrigue me. I don't think I've ever seen a sub-faction quite so insane. And as Menasor, it's even more intriguing. How can his mind even function w/all five Stunticons going at it all the time? Plus his brute strength makes him Cybertron's deadliest hazard. Broken mind + Herculean strength? That equals one BA Gestalt.

The Combaticons and the Constructicons always seemed the most useful in their noncombined form, setting them apart somewhat from the rest of the lot, which were by and large the same in gestalt form - even Computron with his amazing brain was just a cudgel.

And of the two I favored the Combaticons. So much tactical diversity there - definitely the guys I'd want serving under me.

Most awesome gestalt though would have to be Monstructor - sure he's ugly, but he eats souls.

Piranacon's a runner up for the fact that all of his limbs are targetmasters.

Best combiner toy I've ever had would be Classics Devastator. Though there's only 3 molds for five figures, that means he's largely symmetrical! Plus, I have him and Constructicon Maximus on my desk above me right now in poses that the old combiners could only fantasize about.

Yeah they transformed from a main character into back ground filler characters who were forced into manual labor. I blame it on their toys being a mail order premium myself.

Over the years, and various screen names on Seibertron I have made the case MULTIPLE times that Reflector was a combiner. I was usually quickly mentally bitch slapped. But I would like to state, AGAIN, that Reflector was a combiner.

As for my favorite, it was by far the Stunticons. They were nuts, near impregnable armor, had the best individual personalities, and we're pretty much loners. I'd also take them in a battle royal over any other combiners.

I agree with you....not only was he a combiner but he was the "FIRST" combiner.
