Might explain the "continuity errors" people mention. Geography errors, sure...I can accept that. However I fail to see were the in film continuity broke. I can think of one scene: Wheelie kind of dissapeared. That's it really.

I'm beginning to lump that in with "there is no plot" in the Bullcrap Excuses pile. I have yet to see a single reported error in continuity besides Wheelie going away that isn't explainable with simple paying attention to the film.

ok i will break down the scene for you then. I saw it before i posted my comment

- starscream attacks
- bots pull into quarry
- sam says we need to split up, draw fire
- twins, leo and simmons remain in pit
- bee in car mode pulls out
- sam and mikaela on edge of dune ?. says we will go on (paraphrasing)

Now what we see here is empty space, no cover, then in distance, buildings and flare smoke (back to that later)

- devestator arrives, and the twins battle with leo and simmons
(first flaw, the vacuam devs uses can haul cars, trucks, heavy equipment, but the two humans can stand unaffected, and later manage to cling on to a pipe) i let this pass as its a hollywood trope and oft repeated, jsut bad science !

- Starscream hits emp
- cut to sam and mikala hiding in buildings. Now they crossed the open space by foot, rather than use bumblebee, who is no where to be seen. Logically it would make more sense to have bee with them, it would be quicker. if he couldnt drive over sand, he would still offer them more protection than going on their own

- The insecticon detects the two humans. rampage appears, deposits the parents. Sam notices bee, who has appeared from nowhere behind the buildings. Now the cons were scouring the area so he couldnt have been in hiding.

Problem 2 - where was bumble bee for this time. Bad scfripting having characters appear and disappear and then reappear for deus ex machina

- cut to pit. the battle continues

- cut to bee going kick ass crazy

- back to pit, devestator has trundled off, twins, leo and simmons jsut stand around

Problem 3 - Poor scripting, no threat resolution. You introduce a major nemesis, put heroes in jeopardy, then its resolved by the threat walking away

Now im sure i may have made some errors in this retelling, and open for contradiction, but there is a good period of time between seeing bee in the pit, to bee defending sam where he is MIA. rewatch if you dont believe me.

1. Where did the buildings come from?
I didn't see you list a "Problem 1" so I'll assume this is it. It was a long way between were they split and were the soldiers were holding the line. Remember Sam and Mikaela ran toward the soldiers and autobots, through the rear of the Decepticon line. You can clearly see said ruined buildings behind them. Not a continuity error.

2. Where was Bumblebee
Distracting Starscream. Considering we see Starscream among the 'cons looking for Sam in the town we can assume he was repositioned there. How didn't they see him? They have orders from the founder of their faction to find Sam no matter what. I think Bee could have easily taken advantage of that and laid low.

3. Poor Threat Resolution
Similar to how Bumblebee got around the 'cons in the ruined town, you just gotta think a bit. Devestator is huge, and even two Transformers like the Twins are miniscule by comparison. After they're out of the picture (one got shot by his brother, the other ran for it) he probably just stopped giving a crap. When you're the size of Devestator what do you honestly think two humans could possibly do to you? Besides you're not taking into account of that the fight with Devestator extended past when the Twins were involved. It ended officially with Simons scaling the pyramid after him to get coordinates for the railgun shot. Simons was clearly in danger the whole time, unless a million tons of falling debris doesn't count as a threat to you.

4. Characters dissapearing
I'll give you Wheelie, but not Skids and Mudflap. One was knocked out of the fight and at that point I could easily see the other turning tail and running. They aren't exactly soldier material after all.

I'm with you on this. People say it's wrong to watch a film with the intent to not have to think too much, that it's a sign of being someone with low intellect or attention span. As someone who prides himself on his intellect I believe this is quite untrue. Sometimes I just want to stop thinking for awhile, and movies are how I do it.

well the only reason i analysed that scene in detial was people accused me of not knowing what i was talking about and that i should watch the scene before posting, even though i had just seen it !!!

1. Problem one was the physics, but that gets a pass

2. You miss my point. The buildings are there yes, but when sam and mikaela say they are heading that direction, there is a sizable distance between their position and the buildings. A distance which is exposed and a potential killzone. Not the best place to go running unaccompanied, when you have a huge robot with guns who could assist you.

3. Star scream is shown firing emp and joining megs on pyramid. no interaction with bumble bee. I dont accept that the cons would ignore bumble bee if he was in the area, nor that a bright yellow camaro could remain incognito amonst a hive of cons where the onyl cover was human sized

4. i dont consider simmons chasing devestator as a continuation of the threat. he actively re-engaged the threat. not questioning devestators motivation in not finishing off twins and humans, but scriptwriting wise its poor, to have the threat walk away

5. yeh my thought on twins would be same, they got busted up and stayed out of fight. Bit cowardly and ironic considering how much they fight each other and use homophobia to slur characters who are afriad to fight

2. Sam and Mikaela are civilians in an extreme situation. Also Sam was obviously trying to get to Optimus as soon as possible. These situations lead to them not taking such things into account. Again, a matter of logic.

3. What's not sneaky for us is not sneaky to something of equal size. Bee is an average sized Transformer. The 'cons could have easily missed him taking that into account.

4. So Simons was in no danger, despite him being mere feet away from all that falling debris as he scaled a massive pyramid with no safety equipment in order to bring Devestator down? Just because he went after Devestator of his own accord does not lessen the threat.

5. That's the point, shamone. And you'd be amazed how many gays use those same slurs on others. You should hear me during an intense game of Bad Company 2.

1. Im not questioning the decision making and lack of inexperience. im saying sam said we are a few miles away. There were three vehicles. they decided to walk/run. Then bumblebee turned up when they reached destination. it would be quicker and safer to go in bee. Even TF wiki mentiones this (i was reading it there last night)

2. its eassy for something smaller to hide from something bigger than it. Bee is average sized. How he can hide where there is minimal cover and he is BRIGHT YELLOW makes no sense.

3. again where did i say no danger. When devestator leaves, he is in the far distance. Simmons and leo are safe. the threat has been resolved by the threat walking away. That is bad scripting. As i said simmons re-engaged the threat. Misquoting or misrepresenting what i say is not a debating tool

What you're doing is underestimating my ability to not give a flying slag. Tossing out a slur and directing at the "intended target" are two different things. Honestly, who gives a damn? If the twins have a compulsive obsession with eating fried chicken, who cares? If they like to listen to rap music (AKA stinky booty gorilla noise) who cares? I had this exact same argument last night on another forum (though it wasn't about Transformers). If they want to act black, let them!
