Which movie did you like better and why?

I liked the first one better b/c hey it was the first live action transformers movie, it felt more serious and the transformations were just beautiful especially the battle in the city at the end was just awesome the transformers felt like they were apart of the city as in acctually there "give me the cube booyyyyyyy" I mean cmon look how sick these scenes are

Transformers 2, ehh i liked the movie up until after the forest scene then it turned ehh seemed like they didnt care really
After the forest scene the transformers looked very fake especially when megatron is fighting optimus at egpyt , idk i just didnt really like the combo with jetfire and optimus he looked weird. but this movie felt like i was watching a live action episode of transformers.

I liked the first better. I thought the plot was better than the second one. Don't get me wrong, I liked the second one, but there was more characters that were undeveloped. The second felt rushed, especially at the last scene. I also thought they were trying to put more robots in but didn't have the time or money to make them have a personality.

I liked the first one...the same reasons. 2 was more apt to be the 3rd movie with that kind of script... but i need to hush down

First easily

Enjoyed ROTF, but after comparing the two it just doesn't beat the first one

Battle for Mission City in TF1 is way better than the Egypt/Jordan mash

First one. Wasn't perfect, but RotF was far more out from the traditional Transformers-verses, even with the cameos.

Blackout destroying the Katar base... that scene was worth the whole fight at the end of RotF.

For me the first one had more moments that gave me goosebumps, Seeing Prime on screen for the first time, Prime speaking. The second one had more moments that made me go "HOLY $&*@", the Forest fight, Jetfire combining w/ Prime, etc. In the end though I think I enjoyed the first one more. If ROTF was 20-30 min shorter I'd probably say they were equal.

Robots -- TF1 & 2 robots equally good. (0nly thing about their TF1 appearance said it other places, Decepticon development. Screenplay in 2 really should have ran name captions. I could have coped with the many robots if time was taken to do this.) Rather liked th twins lone thing I would've hated about 'em if there names were Sunstreaker and Sideswipe.

Humans -- TF1 way better. Mikaela was fiesty and resourceful. Sam was well rounded & likeable. TF2 is absymal(sp). Human Females idiots. Where's the (forgive if I have her nationality incorrect) the Austrial computer a from TF1? Mikaela/Sam was pointless; few times wanted to get up and leave.

Loved the second one better. I just loved the action overall never slowed down. I could wacth the whole movie on dvd with out skipping scenes. For the first movie I had my hand on the remote to skip some boring scenes.

Idk i think ROTF had more boring parts than the first, right after the forest scene it was just boring and talk , jetfire was annoying

+1 for the first movie.

I thought the first movie was more about giant transforming robots invading earth. The 2nd movie was a Transformers movie. The 2nd movie reveals much more about the Transformers mythos of this universe and I found it a lot more interesting. At the end of the first movie I had nothing to talk about. The 2nd movie gives me more to think and talk about afterwards, which I enjoy more.

I liked the first movie because obviously its first time live action transformers where shown on the big screen. However I like ROTF for the Decepticons and increased development of there characters.

To be honest though both movies had giant battling robots and Megan Fox... you cant really complain about that.

I would say the 2nd. I really liked the extra Dialogue between the transformers. But i liked the first one better for it's seriousness. The second one had WAY too many unnecessary "dirty" jokes that i felt every parent with a young child was getting angry with. I do miss Maggie & Glen from the first one. But the second one felt more watchable to me with action and pure talking scenes.

The 1st movie was the better overall movie, IMO, but I think I will find myself revisiting ROTF a bit more often as it is very entertaining and there was so much thrown into the mix that it may take multiple viewings to fully devour.

The original had an excellent beginning and end, but most of the middle can be skipped over once it's been seen once or twice(mostly the part where the Autobots go to Sam's house up until the awakening of Megatron).

In comparison, ROTF only really slows down for about 10-15 minutes after the arrival to Egypt and the journey to the pyramids(sorry, most of the scenes with Jetfire got pretty tiresome pretty quickly).

However, the 1st movie truly had more awe-inspring moments and far more tension. Strangely, watching Blackout or Starscream transform over the streets of Mission City wowed me more than Devastator's combination.

The Mission City battle was pretty intense and, for awhile, you wondered how the Autobots were going to win. Jazz was killed, BB was just a torso, and Ironhide and Ratchet could barely hold off Brawl, Blackout, and Starscream.

Yet, the Decepticons are *supposedly* stronger in both numbers and sheer power at the end of ROTF, and not only do the Autobots win, they win with a minimum of casualties and almost with ease.

I really can't say just yet...
I just saw the second one today and my brain is still numb.

So at the momment I'm going to have to say TF2 because I haven't quite gotten over the rush. LOL!!

The first one of course. The second was ridiculously bad storywise that tried to hide that with a bunch of action. Actions great and all but I like to read so stories are equally important to me in a satisfying movie experience.

First one hands down. If you look beyond all the action and shiny CGI the first one was much better in terms of story. It gave me the feeling I was watching actual Transformers; the second one really failed at that me for me personally.

Yea the first one does have better story, even though it does slow down a little you get to see more of the autobots and their faces upclose shots, in ROTF the cgi just looked so fake after the forest scene they literally looked like they were pasted on over the film esecially when optimus comes back to life. The battle of mission city in the first one is effin awesome, esically when star scream is flying with the US f-22's or w/e and starscream transforms in mid air destroying them
