Which hybrid is better?

Which of the Takara Hybrid style figures are superior? Galaxy Convoy or G1 Convoy?

I had both. And it depends entirely on how you like your Prime. The G1 is great in Bot mode. Truck mode has some short comings. I really couldn't find anything wrong with the Galaxy force version. Better than the Leader class version, but thats just my opinion. If you can get both. They are both great figures. Now if they would only make a Hybrid style G1 Ultra Magnus, with trailer and matrix storage in the chest. I would buy 5.

You are very strong and big as well as always suggesting the BIGGER sort of weapon. You are also good at sports; mostly contact sports. You can be easily irritated and may have anger issues. You also have a huge truck mode. Sweet.

I have both. They are both amazing but the G1 one is the only one that I have opened since I am a first generation collector. Have another one MISB though

I skipped Galaxy Convoy because he's not iconic enough to justify having more than the standard Leader class - which is spiffy...
But I do have HBS Convoy and...
In my opinion the truck mode is NOT iffy. You just have to be sure to get the transformation right - which is somewhat frustratignly harder to do than the instructions might lead you to believe. The main problem lies in getting the pegs in the lower arms to fit into the holes in the truck-wheel side panels.
If you can manage that - then the truck mode actually comes out looking pretty spiffy. Bend the grill down a little so it juts out on the top and you have a kind of anime stylized Convoy truck ... also try looking at him from the right angle and you'll also be impressed.
Plus his trailer and Roller/accessories are just outstanding.
I think this is a better toy than MP04.

I cant comment on Hybrid Galaxy Force Convoy but I have both G1 Convoy and the Black version which is pretty much identical. They are great figures. To get such detail and articulation from such a small figure is amazing. You will not, cannot be dissapointed with these figures. They make an entire display on their own.
