I know in G1 Ironhide, is specifically mentioned to be older than most Autobots, and I believe Ultra Magnus is too. Same with RotF Jetfire.

Now I know G1 wheelie is considered young(child?), and I think g1 Bumblebee is considered young too. Same with animated Jetfire and jetstorm, Cheetor and i think the twins from rotf, and sideburn from RiD.

There was a minicon child in the a/e/c triliogy

are there any other explicitly young or old Tf's?

I know I gotta be forgetting a bunch

Well on the old side of course Unicron and Primus would be the first. They are followed by the 13.

Alpha Trion
Vector Prime
Nexus and the others.

as far as youngest, Twirl getting reborn in the Linkage comic makes she fairly young, but if just young as in child-like than Sari is likely the youngest.

Well, it depends on how you define "young". One could argue that (for the G1 cartoon at least) the Dinobots, Aerialbots, Technobots, and Stunticons are all younger than pretty much everyone els, for example.

Alice from ROTF and Sari are definately THE YOUNGEST cybertronians in history. I think Alice may be younger (the robot mode anyway) Because Sam said that it was "a little baby..." Then Grindor came and grabed them.

I don't necessarilly mean newest or oldest built, but child-like and old like how Jetfire was like in ROtf. the fallen may have been older, but jetfire was "old" and g1 Kup.

not all of the recently built tfs act young, like the members of Computron. they are some of the youngest in the g1 cartoon (built in season 3) but the don't act as young as hotrod or wheelie.

well in that sense, Movie Jetfire sure seems the oldest in the way he is portrayed as more decrepit than anyone else that has been given screen time, and like-wise, Sari is presented as being as close to a baby when Sumdac finds her proto-form than anything else I can think of.

The Fallen is definately older than Jetfire. but Jetfire just acts older

youngest = Dinobots

Depends on the series.

In the Marvel comics, Jetfire, the Constructicons, the Aerialbots and Stunticons are all built on Earth in the late 80's.

I'm not including the Combaticons because their construction is never shown and the G2 Comics suggest they were on Cybertron eons ago when the Cybertronian Empire arose. Onslaught's link to Mindset is proof of this.

Siren is supposed to be young.

I always felt Slapdash and Bluestreak were too.

G1 Megatron always struck me as old with that raspy, hoarse voice.

Emirate Xaaron is old too.

While I always loved the Marvel series, I didn't like how it suggested Hot Rod and Blurr were over 4 million years old. Though again, Kup's musings on the subject in the G2 comics suggest Hot Rod may indeed be younger, having been spawned in the same manner as the Cybertronians.

But then, i've never been happy about the 4 million years thing. I'd prefer if it were millenia. Millions of years seem too long for a TF lifespan.

Weren't all of the original G1 Transformers a couple million years old?? Didn't the Ark and the Nemesis crash on Earth before the dinosaurs were around?

No, the Ark crashed 4 million years ago while the dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago.

In the comics, the Dinobots were sent to battle Shockwave in the Savage Land. In the Marvel universe, this is a realm where time stood still for eons, hence there are still dinosaurs there which is why the Ark created the Dinobots alt modes to help them blend.

But yes, a lot of the G1 TF's are meant to be millions of years old.
