A lot of the fun is the speculation - none of us know who "Mustachio" is and won't until it's leaked or we watch the movie. I'd say from my limited knowledge this could be Alpha Trion - he does look very old. I don't have any idea who Vector Prime is, so I suppose he has the same chance as anyone else to be that character we're speculating about. I think the bot looks a little too neat and organized to be Wreckgar - he just doesn't look junky enough. Mustachio looks like he's been around awhile, looks to me like he's wise, and when we look into his eye - those could be memories and knowledge that he's been carrying around for an eternity. It looks to me like Unicron in there too - a big round planet looking dark mass with "teeth" ringing a "mouth" looking hole in the center. With that thought - he could very well be a herald too, like Scourge. And, he could be no one we know, a new character altogether.

I still think the occupants scattered about in the ship look like a mix of Decepticon and Autobot - like they all had a big fight and blew each other away. You know, some of them look insect-like while others have softer features. Just a thought.

I'm hoping this will be the best of the three movies! I'm looking forward to it!

They shouldn't have cancelled Animated for Prime. I like Prime, but no.

I'm not so sure. If he was, then they'd have to blow him up, somehow. And about that:
1. If they would blow up something as big as the Moon, Immagine the asteroid shower Earth gets.
2. Besides the asteroid shower, wouldn't it have catastrophic results on Earth, if something that big would just "disapear" from it's orbit around us? I mean, the Moon does create tides and rises.

Is mission city even a real place? If not, maybe the area was LA, somewhere close. Besides, Leo isn't a mapmaker, what if he doesn't know **** about where it took place?

What is he's Optimus Prime, but from the future.

TBH I'm leaning towards either Sentinel or Vector. The latter mainly because there were some time travel rumblings about the movie a few months ago and the former because, well, it's an Optimus-head in yellow.

That might also be a clear-cut reason as to why he's not Sentinel, considering the movies don't like to stick to 'conservative' colour schemes too much.

I am normally a lurker but I have been trying to post more starting today

I can't even begin to guess who that is. When a friend of mine showed me Jetfire's face from ROTF and didn't tell me the name, I would have never guessed it.

I think that Sentinel is a good guess, probably better then Alpha Trion. I think you have to move out of mustache = id mode and try to think like Michael Bay.

Remember, this is the same guy that seemed to think that ROTF need a pair of Jar-Jar Binks like characters with Skids and Mudflap. Although, I do think they had their redeeming moments in the movie. I would also add that Bay does not seem to totally sold on the normal TF conventions so it could be anyone, providing he likes the name.

On a side note, the footage from the teaser reminded me of the opening scene of the first movie where there was a wholesale slaughter of autobots. "Hulls been breached, no signs of life or movement." Autobots and their pieces strewn about (including a head that makes me very sad because it made me think of Mirage).

New to this forum. I just wanted to give my 2 cents. 1st I think it's a Autobot. In the 1st trailer at the end the eye sequence was blue (Autobot: Optimus), in the ROTF it was red (Decepticon: Megatron). And for the Mustached Autobot I think it's Rodimus. The overall design and color scheme match.

But thats just me.

He has a color scheme of Sentinel and the mustache of Trion, Hmmm, maybe it was one made up for the film?

If you have seen Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, then you already know the solution to the moon problem: the real moon is in another dimension while the fake moon/battle station is taking its place in our dimension, thus once the fake moon is moved the real moon simply needs to be pulled back into our dimension from its current location so that everything remains the same on Earth, ergo, Unicron could be the moon.

Mission City does not exist. Bay made it up from parts of LA, Detroit (the old building Sam climbs was the old Detroit train station filmed shortly before demolition with some extra gargoyle props, and the building Megatron blasts Prime into after they exchange shots is also in Detroit), Chicago, and some studio lots (did I leave any locations out?).

I actually took the time to look at a map to see if there was a city 20 miles away from the Hoover Dam, and if LA was close enough to have been used. Unfortunately LA is too far, and the nearest city doesn't look anything like it. That mess up is another reason not to rush a movie script before a writers' strike.

I suppose in TF tech language that's exactly what it would be. Though I don't know if Bay knows anything about that.

My guess is it cant be either Wreck-gar or Scourge. Too regal-looking for Wreck-Gar and remembering this is the Ark (generally an Autobot Ship) it doesn't make sense for it to be Scourge. My guess is Alpha Trion, or someone we weren't expecting.

Orci said that he wanted to use Unicron in a movie but didn't want to for the sake of the scale,it was also said that there is a scene where a GIANT decepticon pushes over a building that Sam is in,in the trailer the transformer looks GIANT,in the IDW comics Unicron is orange and gray (just like the trailer robot), Baye could make Unicron the size of a large decepticon instead a planet.
