Actually I didn't create the Alpha Strike thing. I'd much rather spend my time picking on Whiney than even spending a second thinking about Alpha Strike.

Now aside from it being fun for Centbot to come back with his fanfic, imagine the fun to be had between P R and the n00bs. Hell, he'd probably try to tell Tammuz he's got all the maths wrong. :lol:

And, to settle the question, Alpha Strike is supposed to be one of the moderators for the site, primarily for HMW. There's been shenanigans in the past. He's not well liked by a significant number of players. He's been mostly missing in action for a LONG time now. Pops up every now and then just to crush our hopes of consistency. Mkall's replacement will, in practice, be filling Alpha Strike's shoes too.

We do. Caelus. Although, at the minute, I don't know what any of the staff can actually do.
But as for a new HMW moderator after Mkall, I'd imagine there's talk going on backstage. Smart money would probably be on Sustain, EP or Spiderman, given that there's already a Maximal on board, and the Guardian faction V2 promised might not even happen any more. Hell, V2 might not even happen any more - at least, if it does, it'll probably (probably) come out to coincide with Bay's TF 32.

Guardian faction or not, Mods should be selected on their abilities, not who they fight for.

Yeah. But there's always going to be player sentiment. "Why is there no such-and-such a faction mod? Does the staff hate us? Why we no loved?"

Keep the peace on the boards (which has been a delightfully easy job on the HMW forums lately!) and, oddly enough, last I checked, I can still access the weapons-edit page through the old admin panel.

Fortunately, that conflict isn't so much an issue at the moment. The last list of candidates that surfaced had four people from three of the four factions, and all of them were equally qualified.

Official policy though is still to put qualifications before faction alignment - although, the other compromise is the oddball like me that changes faction after getting the job, in order to maintain fair representation.

If the players really felt it was necessary I could (hypothetically) change factions again.
