It’s called an editorial. They’re a thing. If a memeber on the site wants to do one they can. Just like the comic and episode reviews.
It was still put as news.... and from what i'm seeing, there is no news to be found in it. they can express their opinions and feeling all they want, but this shouldn't be considered news.
Things like the top 5 lists aren't really "news" either, but they still go up on the front page when they're published.
I've also expressed my opinion on those as well, idk why they consider these things as news...

Who’s forcing you to look at them and contribute, Buzzkillington?

I think video games are the new cartoons - people of many ages will spend long, long hours playing them, and when they aren't playing them, they shop for clothes, jewelry, action figures, wallets, cookie-cutters, etc. with the IP printed on it. Movies cost fantastically more, people pay $15 to watch them, and after 2hrs it's over.

I would kill for that.
@ultra Markus, in what way is g1 not done? Other then redoing figures that haven't had any updates?
Its strange as I'm more open to g1 in games then toys, with the toys I just want new things and characters. Games however, matching ideas up to the relevant genres and I'm all in. What about a Masterforce meets Persona type game in which one half is doing social things as a school kid with masterbraces then the other half is doing fun stuff as a transformer.

I've never played it but isn't Forged to Fight a similar style?

It's way simplified for a real "Street Fighter" style of fighting game, though, and it's only on mobile devices.

I like seiege just fine but I enjoyed Classics more when it came out and it was G1 characters but with a modernized look. Now it’s just “make it as G1 as possible but with knees and elbows” I get it but I just want something new. Beast wars new. No autobot and Decepticons. Create new factions, entire new fiction for them.
After seeing so much of "almost G1 but not quite" over the years I think we need this catharsis. We need Hasbro and their head designers to let it out of their systems once and for all, and then I think we can all move on since we have finally had a solid base to move on from.

Marvel learned the hard way with Spider-Man and DC did with Superman.

Maybe.I wonder if the people are really ready for something brand new.
I always felt that the movie designs were ahead of their time in 2007.Coptur wrote:I think it's important that the characters are recognisable and iconic looking.

It depends on who are you talking about.
Every cartoon after G1 up until, maybe Animated,Megatron looked different.

Caelus wrote:I like many of the new design elements in Siege, but I'm disappointed that they are (IMO) unnecessarily leaving behind or outright expunging many of the cool elements we've seen in recent years. Another example: Cog and Brunt. Given they disassemble into pieces anyway, and obviously tie into Fort Max and Trypticon respectively, they would have been a good place to reuse the Titanmaster gimmick.
