Why is IDW Vol. 2 Hardcover $2,000 on Amazon? How did it get to be so expensive? I was looking to purchase it. I nearly had a heart attack after seeing the price. How long has this book been out?

those are seriously ridicolous prices seeing as saturday i got that very same book for 62$ canadian its 50 stateside. those prices are wrong.

heres a more accurate listing its a fantastic read as im not a fan of multiple volumes this puts them together. happy hunting

Is that the one with New Avengers/Transformers in it? Maybe it's a rights issue with Marvel, or some such, preventing it from going through further printings?

If you thought collecting toys is harsh, collecting out of print hardcovers/paperbacks is ridiculous. These prices are extreme and I doubt that anyone actually pays for them.

A lot of out of print paperbacks that are a few years old sometimes got for $50+.

I'm sure if you hunt around, you can find the hardcover.

At times I've been lucky finding stuff at Barnes and Noble. A while back I ran across some TPB's that I'd been hunting for. Paid the cover price, which was fine compared to the ebay prices. If that doesn't pan out, wait the prices out. Sometimes the price comes down within the realm of reasonable. It did for IDW Collection Vol 1. Sort of...

Yea buying out of print trades is seriously expensive, sure if you search long and hard you may find them for near cover price but most of the time it's 8-}

It took me 6 months to find The Maxx trades reasonable priced (ie not 200 dollars), while the original floppies go for like 20 bucks for a full mint set.... :BOOM:

Yup, especially the first 3 or 4, you're in the US right? If so I can send you a few links to copies that are cheap.
