This is all very true. they would probably also remove electronics. The statement about the inividuals being just as fun as the giant robot is really something I would like to stress since it rarely happens with Transformer combiners. The individual articulation on those lions is amazing!

Will is right, Volts is hot right now. All the pegs for the combinable lions are empty everywhere I go. I've seen a few lions three times and then they're gone the next day.

I'm still on the fence about the set. I'm mostly afraid that I will not be able to complete the set once I start. I'm hoping that once everyone gets their fill the pegs will be plentiful :PRAY:

That's always a fear of mine with sets that require buying multiple characters, like Combiner wars: not getting them all. I waited over a month to get Defensor because Rook was unavailable through HTS and I didn't want to get 5 without the missing limb

Ever since I saw 'em in stores about a month ago, the combinable Lions are nowhere to be found! Almost as elusive as the Nintendo Classic....

I realize now that they tried to give a similar transformation to the Generations version. The only way where it is inferior is how the original uses the actual cockpit for the chest.

Inspired by Will's thrift shop finds, I went to a mall today with many vendors.

There was one with sealed Star Wars Transformers (Deluxe?) for Anakin and Darth Vader at $10 & $12.50, respectively -- is this a good deal? I was tempted but didn't pull the trigger....

Walgreens got more Krok & Quake this week, but still no Kup or Topspin for me.

I went to the thrift shop the other day. All I could find was an Optimus that looked like a happy meal toy. I guess its luck of the draw.

Thats the same as what they cost back when they were at retail, so not much of a deal. And they arent great toys either. Good luck on those wave 4 deluxes, I have yet to see them in store.

Yeah, I wasn't crazy about how they looked on the back of the sealed card, so I see what you're saying about their quality, Will.

There were some McD-formers, but I have plenty of those!

I really wish i could take all you guys out on a hunt in my city for a weekend. We might only find crap, but at least it would be cool tf crap (like a headless voyager movie megs)

It would be a blast to go and toy hunt with friends. Heck even if we didn't find anything it would be nice to have a laugh at some of the things we don't pick up. Of course there would be an obligatory stop at a fast food joint afterwards. (I can hear Va'al telling me to look out for sugar already!)

All of my IRL TF buddies live 60+ miles from me so toyhunts together don't often happen.

Going on the hunt sounds very fun! My best friend and I go, but he only sticks to comics stores and TRU - the Hunt takes me everywhere!

That would be fun. I hunt antique/flea markets and thrift stores all the time and I find zero TFs. Hell I don't even want to buy them, I'd just be happy to have that option. It seems like you are in the land of plenty. Bask in the warmth ;)^

Its probably a good thing I don't find too many TFs. There is a trash compactor behind our thrift shop with smashed plastic under it. I might be tempted to buy some TFs there just to sell cheaply so they won't get smashed.

Yeah I definitely undersold how lucky I was with this find. I am very happy. What I feel very lucky about is how that springloaded landing gear is still intact and works perfectly. I didnt know that about this toy, its really cool.

My grandparents had a broken G1 Jetfire, I found it in their attic when I was...seven? Back then, I had no idea what it was, and it was later thrown away. :-(
