WIP Ptitvite's Devastator 2.0 ***Mixmaster***
Looking good, love the variety in what you used. That thing's gotta be awsome...er in real life, pics just don't do it justice.

An acceptable compromise, haha.ptitvite wrote:I was thinking of doing some work on Classics Jetfire to make him more G1 but since the toy is already very nice I decided to work on more urgent matters like the Dinobots and now Constructicons.Sentinel Pax wrote:Aha! Now I see it. Also, please tell me that picture of Skyfire in the background means you're going to make a G1 version of him? Pretty please.ptitvite wrote:Sentinel Pax wrote:Holy God...I likey. I can recognize most of the components, but who did you use for Mixmaster?
Thanks
I tried to do a Mixmaster out of E Barricade...Not finished but gives a good idea.
E Barricade is sturdy and can support alot of weight. He also
has the E combiner ports.

Wow!! That's really interesting... If only we could place our Dev side by side... But I think yours should be bigger with those Unicron waist and thighs

I'm not sure whether to hate you for being so good Ptitvite or to love you! Damn that is so amazing. I want one! I have too many projects on the table right now to copy your work.

Sorry Ptitvite, I don't know anyone that could cast a head for you. If I find or maybe one in a junk lot I'll let you know! It would be a shame if you had to compromise his head!

I see that Primus sacrificed his forearms, and other sections to create the waist...
Cybertron Landmine is a great addition too!.
Would love to see him painted up!

I absolutely love this peice. Amazing work. It has inspired me to make a very similar combiner, but I'd like to know if that's cool with you first?
I'm ebaying all the components, I've spent about $100 so far and only have the 2 shoulders and left leg.
I want to do this just for the painting aspect, I would love to paint this thing G1 themed neon green and purple.
Another question, would you sell this one? if so, PM me a price.

Thank you all for the kind words!
And to answer to frenzy_rumble, if you love how this is turning out then make one for yourself that's cool with me!
But until mine is complete, I won't post a "how to" 'cause I
have put alot of thinking and my heart into this. So
if people want to copy my work and not wait until I finish mine then they have alot of headaches up ahead.
Geez, you spent 100$ already! You still have to buy Unicron and Primus! A junker unicron would do but junker Primus are not that easy to find.
Also, I don't plan on selling this unless the offer is right but usually it's not
.

I've been buying components via ebay (where else would I find some of these) I'm using some of your components, but incorporating some ideas of my own as well.
I have a chart on my wall with each "section" of devastator.
when I find and buy a part, I 'X' it out.
I mostly am looking forward to the sculpting and painting parts.

I don't buy much on ebay 'cause it's not much a place for deals, unless you get lucky. I usually go on forums and post in the "wanted" section. I then get very good deals and cheap shipping on used TF's and I don't mind them being loose and used as long as they are not broken.

Actually, the other parts (upper legs and crotch) are from Unicron.

Thanks guys!
I was thinking of taking the original (KO) and cut it in half to add a bigger middle piece...or something near that just to inflate the chest shield.
C'mon, you'll make me cry! Anyways, thanks! I do have many other kitbashes going at the same time but I put them aside since Devastator is already 6 cons altogether...My workbench look like the junk planet.
