In as much as I hate beating up a product not yet released, I have some thoughts on Apollyon and the other not Megatron release

1. MP-05 looked good in the art work, face was bas @ss but it didn't translate well in reality
2. Lot's of breaking parts
3. Design time too short.....like a week

Apollyon:

1. Seems to have the proportions right, not skinny like MP-05
2. Face sculpt looks okay
3. Includes the stock extensions

That being the case, if the manufacturers did draw inspiration from MP05, I sure hope they deal with the fragile parts. Only way to avoid that is to dunk it with a lot of die-cast panels (and keep the price within reach

I'm not sure this will be the case, but my hope is that Takara wouldn't reveal an official MP Megatron unless it was better than this one (as per Acoustic Wave).

If MP-25 truly is Megatron v2, that would be awesome. However, based on the pictures so far, I still want Apollyon. What would make me change my mind about Apollyon is a flimsy product, but I'm already in on a pre-order so I hope for the best.

Besides, who's to say there won't be even more bitching about what an official Takara release will look like, or if it's even a gun...

Even if MP-25 IS Megatron, the only reason I'd cancel my Appolyon preorder is if reviews report him having major QC issues. I'll still pick up an official MP Megs, but this guy just looks too cool to pass up on.

I was wondering if it would be a gun myself. So far, the current MPs have all had global distribution but Hasbro would have to bastardize it to get it to us and Australia wiuldn't get it at all. A tank would have far more repaint options with green for G2 and even purple for BW Neo, and could even have homages to Armada.

But screw that. I want a gun just as much as everyone else.

I call total BS on this rumor. Think the rumor started by fans who assume the Gold re-issue of MP-05 will usher in a new mold MP Smaller scale Megatron.

Even if the rumor is true and I highly doubt it. The Takara Smaller scale MP Megatron will probably get released after September 2015.

Seriously doubt the MP-25 slot is reserved for Megatron. As Takara will most likely release a whole bunch of MP repaints-retools of Bumblebee, Ultra Magnus, Starsaber and so on.

At any rate X-T Megatron is getting released in December. This is only a few weeks away. The Takara MP smaller scale Megatron is getting released a whole year away, This will have Zero effects on X-T Megatron's toy sales.

Lastly, Takara's first MP Megatron was epic garbage. After that, I have no faith the next smaller scale MP Megatron will be any better.

Even if both X-T Megatron and the next MP Megatron are both top notch toys. I see no problem owning both toys. Even if I were to sell X-T Megatron next year, The 3rd party prices on ebay are strong and i'll make a tiny profit.

Still think this smaller scale Takara MP Megatron rumor is bogus and was probably started
by fans with reputations for lying and causing choas.

as im sure youve seen (as recently as MP11 SW) they dont always release them by number, or as youd expect.

Rumor is mostly definately false-fake-lying. As Takara has never ever released new mold MP TF toys after each other. Their is always a few repaints that get released between new sculpted MP TF toys.

Easily guessing the MP Bumblebee toy is bound to get a whole bunch of repaints-retools. Like maybe Bug-byte, Wasp, Herbie the love bug, Bumblee jumper and so on.

Doubt Takara will miss the chance to recolor MP Star Saber at least once. Most likely in dark shadow dopple ganger colors.

Think the Takara MP-22 Ultra Magnus stands a great chance of getting one or a few repaints. Maybe into golden Shining Magnus, Diaclone colors, Black repaint and so on.

Think if their is a smaller scale Takara MP Megatron and I seriously doubt their is one. It might be Takara TF MP-30 not MP-25 as repaints will fill those spots.

Here I thought MP-25 was going to be Galvatron.

tsu...............don't be too harsh on Tomy. As long as there's life, there's hope. Without hijacking the thread, maybe we should leave that MP-25 rumor at that.

There's been Hegemon (was it any good). Hopefully this will be better but if the official version 2 of Megatron comes out, I'll be buying it.

Remember a few years back when Encore Devastator was rumored to be released? Then it turned out to be photoshoped then it turned out to be real (and looking a bit like his Diaclone color apps) which turned out to be an updated remold of the original and then turned out with a version 20A?

So yeah! 50/50% it stands for now and I'm also excited as well.

Been burned too many time by rumors that turned out to be false

Would of rather seen a leader scale Takara MP Galvatron toy get released before a Takara V2 MP Megatron toy.

With X-T Megatron being a perfect toy. Can't say I desperately need another similar one in the form of a Takara one.

Since I buy all HasTak's MP TF toys and I buy all of Megatron's leader scaled toys from all the different TF toy lines. I'll most likely be buying X-T Megatron and a MP V2 Megatron toy if it gets made.

Who cares? I pre-ordered Apollyon on day one with no second thoughts. This is the Megatron that fits in with the focus of my collection. I don't care about any hypothetical Megatrons that may or may not be made. I like this one and I am getting it. If a better Megatron comes out, I might get it or I might not. I base my purchasing on what I like and what is available. Everyone should just buy the toys that they like and not care what other people blow their dough on. In the Toy Discussion board, there is a thread devoted to Masterpiece Speculation. Maybe everyone interested could go there and preach the tale of the Second Coming? Maybe this thread could be used for information/speculation of Apollyon?
