That's the consensus. A test shot is wrapped in clay, then a vacuuform machine makes the shell around it. Once they have the measurements, it's production of the shells, then packaging. But, XTRANSBOTS already said they're boxed and going out.

Think if it's anything, It's a hint at a possible Combiners Wars Voyager Megatron toy. As it makes no sense for Hasbro to advertise a MP TF toy in the CW instructions.

Got the impression by the wording in those pics, That some fan photo shopped all of those images.

Hasbros done weirder stuff on instructions. Remember all those alternate heads ? I wouldnt doubt it is indeed a teaser. Hasbros way of saying "dont buy that piece of crap, we got you covered".

All the alternate heads prove is hasbro does tease weird stuff via instructions. Combiner wars super optimus prime and his rumored autobot limbs are just convenient and easy retools to milk the molds. Megatron isnt going to get a voyager class figure because he is already getting a leader class figure that turns into a tank plus an armada retool. Dont forget both hasbro and takara versions of figures come out the same factory from the same mold. Its not left twix and right twix factories. So there can be ocasional links between the two brands in packaging and instructions.

I checked the product pictures for Leader Class Megatron (released earlier this year) and this schematic doesn't match what we've already seen. I would be extremely surprised to see a new Voyager Megatron with two Leader Megs coming out soon (Armada deco and G1 deco tanks).

Why are you surprised? it has happened before.

Doesn't almost every TF toy line have optimus prime, Bumblebee's and Megatron's with different scaled toys. Points to the AEC, Animated, Movie, CHUG and TFP-BH toy lines.

ehhhh... not really tsu. movie lines maybe, but the unicron trilogy ima say that rule dont work. straight repaints, and a name change. not quite the same.

expecting three different megatrons in the same line is a bit much. and i consider the two leaders different, as theres remolding as apposed to being straight repaints.

I'll be getting this regardless. Only thing that would stop me now is an announcement, pics and a release date in the next 8 months from takara. In two years time I'll just buy the official one if it happens and figure it out then. Meanwhile I'll be enjoying me some Apollyon.

If I never bought anything I had a hunch would be released in a beeter version in the future I wouldn't have anything in my collection. My policy is, do I like it? Does it fit w my overall theme? Can I afford it? 3 yeses and I click the buy button.

Yes, there are different scaled toys for Optimus, Megatron, and BB in Classics, but they didn't all come out at the same time. I can see them doing a Legends size version (which already came out), but not a Leader and a Voyager. Movieverse was all about cashing in on whatever they could sell, hence a billion different versions of BB and Prime. But not Classics/whatever you want to call it these days.

Anyways, if there was a Voyager Megs coming out I would think we would've seen or heard about it during BotCon or SDCC earlier this year. I don't expect any news for figures until February when ToyFair rolls around.

Yesterday I watched a 1984 Season One TF cartoon episode on the Discovery family channel. In that Episode both Megatron and Optimus had huge waist-crotch areas. So I think this X-T Megatron that has a huge Waist-crotch sculpt in robot mode is cartoon accurate.

Well Apollyon is going to be coming out first anyway (unless Takara repeats what they did with the original MP Megatron and rushes it through production) so a great deal of people will probably have their Apollyon long before this supposed Megatron 2.0 is even announced. In all honesty though I'm not sure how Takara could improve over this- it's about as G1 accurate as humanly possible, especially given how G1 Megatron transformed almost entirely with animation magic.

In any case, let's wait and see. Who knows, they might do a Megatron 2.0 and it might suck.
