Yeah, if you have the cash, you might as well get two. Takara's version might take far longer than anyone wants. And if you can exploit that by getting back your money a few times over by selling an extra, why not?

The final piece looks fantastic, it's by no means perfect, but way better than MP05 and incredibly good considering how difficult this guy is to pull of. Unlikely that Takara's eventual release will utterly destroy this, unless it somehow has size mass change and a pocket dimension.

The price is somewhat reduced right now so I ws contemplating it, buying one for my collection and selling the other in a year or so when it's price has gone up enough. It would compensate some of the massive costs I had to endure with import taxes for my MP-10's last year

Will be buying this.

Just one minor complaint. Wish the feet had a less generic look to them. Don't think the rounded off sculpted feet match the rest of the aesthetics of the toy. Would have preferred G1 or MP Megatron toy styled feet.

Glad to hear it, I fear a lot of the people sitting on the fence with this guy are gonna end up disappointed.

I doubt that an X-Transbots' product will be scarce. If you're worried about a repeat of Quakewave, remember that he was FT's first major release (outside of the MP-01 trailer) and they made a pretty low number of him, even with subsequent re-releases.

The demand for Quake-Wave is still so big though. I don't get why they just don't keep him in production longer.

He's going for up to $1,000 on eBay. Aren't they just losing out on a lot of money? Takara realized it with MP-10...

Think FT is too busy with the MP Dinobots and have no time to reissue Quakewave. Think FT will reissue quakewave eventually. Probably not until the MP Dinobots are done. Maybe some time in 2016.

Think a reissue Quakewave in the 1985 darker purple G1 toy colors would make nice colors and sell great.

You know speaking as someone who has ol' Quakey (and loves him) if they did release a darker purple one I would,be all over it.

I passed on it at the time, but Shockwave and Soundwave were Always two of my alltime favourites. Ironically the two I don't ahve in my collection -.-'

But seriously, someone robbed your house and stole all your TF's? I mean that has to be someone you know right? Someone who knew exactly what there was to get in your house? Either that or maybe someone from the forums that saw your pictures (if you have any on here?) that knew where you lived?

Or did they steal other stuff too? Regardless though, I imagine someone who steals toys knows very well what the value of these toys are so it's very creepy if you think about it. Almost has to be someone you know. What did the police say? Do you yourself have any idea on who might have done it?

Maybe one day they will make a new line of QuakeWave. I'm one of the ones still holding out hope that they release a scaled-down version to go with Classics.

Also, it took Takara a few years before deciding to do this re-release of MP-10. I absolutely agree that FT can be making some serious bank if they just did another release of old Quakey. But it takes time. Also, as some others have mentioned earlier, FT is involved in many other figures trying to hit production right now. I'm sure this is as much of a business decision to hold back QW as it is to get these new figures released.

I'm not really sure how working on all these other projects would really stand in the way of re-releasing Quakwave to be honest.

I mean, with new figures there's quality control and other procedures they need to go through. But with QW they've already gone through all those processes so all they'd need to do is put in an order with the factory that makes their toys to make some more, no? They don't have to mold the figure or do extensive quality control again either, so it really should not take up that much time. Should it?

It may be that simple for FT but I am sure the factory that is making the parts will have to go through the trouble of re-tooling the machines to mold the parts again...that is going to have a tangible cost. Especially if it is indeed the same factory that is now in the middle of producing parts for their other projects. Plus the interruption to their other projects will have a cost associated to it. I think we would all agree that having the same factory using the same equipment to produce another run of QWs would be essential.
