Due to the additional item added, the cost of your existing preorder has been adjusted to $29.99 respectively. If you are interested in cancelling your preorder you may do so by updating the quantity to zero in the preorders section of your BBTS account.
That seems a bit messed up to me. Sounds like X2 have little faith that they'd sell many of the Trailcutter set on it's own so they've lumped it in with Hoist. I'm cool with this as I was going to go for both since they reduced the cost.

The X2 kit is a must have because of the backpacks, but I think I prefer this cannon better....

Nice... but I'll stick with the X2 set. It offers more then just the hand cannons, and seems fully storable in both modes. Besides, while I often see interesting things there, I've yet to convince myself to try anything Shapeways out. I'm a simple man, happier with something I'm able to use as is out of the box, maybe with some minimal disassembly and reassembly. With Shapeways stuff, I always come across mention of things needing sanding and painting, which turns me off.

Usually I jump for the kits that enhance their homage, but X2 doesn't do it for me. I am more interested in the gun renders posted by Javaco

I'm mainly concerned about the hand weapons, which could really use some chrome or some silver paint. (I'd be fine with either.)
They were noted as "colour prototypes," so I am hopeful that indicates just the plastic color and not the final detailing. And, I suppose, worst case scenario, that is what silver Sharpies are for... But with luck it shan't come to that.

I just realised the part next to trailbreakers right foot has the vent painted silver which looks to be the back end of the blaster on his hand.
