I like that TFC ladder. To eBay I go...

Well, obviously the Reprolabels... But I was only talking three dimensional additions!

Good luck on your search, looks like it shouldn't be too difficult. I see a few examples on eBay for under $40 shipped. (A bit much perhaps for just the ladder, but hopefully you also like some of the other things the set comes with.)

Lucky for me, my eBay bucks notification just arrived...

Oh cool. Trailbreaker gets a neat little gun. Where did that come from?

As simple as this set is, I'm really happy I've got this pre-ordered. It's looking pretty awesome.

Yes, I'd noticed that, too. Must be another part of this set that hasn't previously been featured in photos. Makes me glad. A hand gun for Trailbreaker was the one thing I'd still been left wanting based on pervious photos.

I think the guns are painted silver, or are you referring to some other part? The wings should be yellow/orange, at least if they're following what the G1 toy's accessories looked like (and the animation model from the cartoon of course).

I thought it looked like more of a dark grey... of course, sometimes depending on exact color and lighting, grey and silver can be tough to tell apart in photos.

Anyway, while it sure as heck isn't G1 accurate, and as ironic as it is to say this about an accessory that exists to make a figure more like its G1 self, I like it. It gives the wings some texture. The flat orange look on this toy actually seemed kind of lifeless. This gives it the kick it needed.

Of course, that is just my opinion. My condolences if you disagree... Maybe the paint used on the wings will come off easily with a touch of rubbing alcohol?

Ah, I see. You guys are referring to the gray/metallic (whatever, not sure myself either :P) detailing on the wings.

Yes, I definitely agree with you there Yosuyasan. This is clearly a very "Generations" figure, by which I mean a "homage" to G1 but definitely NOT G1 so creative license, additional detailing and other such liberties are definitely not just OK, but in fact encouraged in my book. For example, I'm in the camp that actually likes the idea of Perceptor transforming into a vehicle instead of a microscope even though G1 Perceptor was one of my favorite toys as a kid (I have the reissue now of course :P) and I'm not bothered at all by the different takes Has/Tak have had on other characters like the wonderful Voyager Optimus we got back in the day (Henkei! Henkei! FTW :D). That said, I also love add-ons like this that give you just that one needed touch to get to the core of what I feel at least is an essential part of who these characters were. They always had these iconic bits in the show so getting accessories that give them back is A-OK with me :).

I just have to wait and see how these sets look with the Takara versions of the figures, and if they don't match, I must hope that these guys do in fact create a set for the TG versions because those are the versions I'm getting of these two.

I guess I like the idea too, but I don't like the execution. If there was a little less of it or if it was a brighter more shiny metallic that might be better.

I think I will try to take it off though when I get it.

Yeah, I guess if it's more gray than silver it might not look too great. You might always just paint over it in a nice shiny silver too if it's just too dark. Heck, you could even go the other route and use a nice bright yellow over those particular gray bits to make it highlighted details instead of dark details. I bet that would look pretty nice :).

That is a good idea! I think I might try the yellow.

I'm not the best at stripping paint anyways. I have rubbing alcohol and I have mineral spirits, sometimes none really work for me, might be easier to just paint over...

Oh dear, I think I just realized something. I hope I'm wrong...

The neat little gun that this set gives Trailcutterbreaker... It has a peg hole on top of it, doesn't it? And I don't see him holding it in any of the photos where some sort of adapter has been used to give him a more G1 looking backpack...

Is the gun and the backpack adapter one and the same piece? I really hope not, as I'd ideally like to use both at the same time. That would be a bit of a disappointment in a set that otherwise has been looking to be a home run.

It does indeed look like the backpack extension is in the shape of a little gun. You'll have to make a choice, then, on how the backpack/shield to SuperChargerLookingForceFieldProjector looks depending on where you want to put that gun.

Well... disappointing. But ah, well. He needs his G1 backpack (the original thing that attracted me to these upgrades), and the gun was going to be a wonderful bonus... so I suppose I'll just live without that bonus.

I suppose you could buy two... ;)

I wonder if there is a shapeways offering that would satisfy. I know I have a bunch of miscellaneous guns from various sets. I bet I could find something, if needed. Personally, I'm happy with the cannon for the one arm.

I hope this ships in the next month. I'm ready to ship my next POL when Fortis comes in, and I'd really like to add this kit to my figures at that time.

Oh my, yes! It's one of the ways he keeps us so informed here. Since I avoid TFW2005 like the plague, I really appreciate what he passes on.

I appreciate it so much that I want him here with me alwayyyysssss!!!

Of course I'm just assuming he's a dude. It's probably better that way. I can keep my feelings very platonic. No, really!

(I think I read too much Deadpool)

At any rate, I'm glad to hear the upgrade is in stock at RK. Some stuff has been coming in for me at BBTS, and I may want to ship my POL sooner rather than later.

Internet has been playing up... Will see what I can do, but my post only appears once for me and each image is only linked once...

Maybe Seibertron.com is glitching again?
