Think this is one of the more worse bigger 3rd party toys out there. Don't care for this at all. Think Xovergen did a terrible job on all of this.

Never did like the stupid a** powermaster armor look, but I do like the Apex Armor on mp-10.

MP-10 cost me $120 at TRU. There is no way I am going to squeeze and scratch this MP-10 toy so it can fit into that ugly armor suit.

So basically your stance is that ... it's integration with MP-10 makes it awful? Because right now you just assume it'll scratch; it may be just fine. Just assuming there's a problem and then saying it makes this one of the worst bigger releases is just BS.

Of course if there IS a widespread problem, I'd have to give you a point on that. As of yet, that's just your own fear. And not one you necessarily even have to indulge just to enjoy the toy as it's armor for Trailerforce and a robot in it's own right as well.

Now I wish I hadn't sold my Trailerforce. I'm thinking about getting another 1 for BotCon Ginrai.

Never liked PMOP or God Ginrai. The whole concept of Transforming Smaller Optimus in a Rubix cube thought was terrible even in 1988. Then placing that Cube into the guts of the trailer suit looked more terrible. God Bomber I felt made things worse as it just tacked on more armor on to a initial ugly Super Ginrai.

So, you don't like the whole basic idea and that makes this "one of the worst bigger 3rd party robots"? No. I mean, you don't like what it's based on, but your statement doesn't really work. That's like my saying Green Giant is one of the worst bigger 3rd party toys out there because I hate the look of the G1 original and the whole combination style. That'd just not make it my cup of tea, not the worst offering out there.

For this to be the WORST it'd have to do what it does BADLY. Like not actually fitting on Trailerforce or not holding together at all or not being able to stand or scratching up MP-10. We have no idea it does any of that.

This thing is cool and all... but no way is it $199.99 cool... I really wonder where Xovergen gets its pricing with some of their things I've seen. They seem really expensive, even compared with other third party offerings.

I don't have the earlier Xovergen Powermaster Prime trailer (partially for similar price reasons, and partially because I thought it looked kind of like crap in trailer mode, and especially for more expensive items, I like to keep all modes in mind when choosing a product.) But I could have seen this as a cool add on to MP-10 Prime if it was affordable. Alas, it is not affordable to me.

Where does Xovergen get their pricing? Is this honestly what they have to charge to show any profit? If so, they need to find out what other third party companies do to keep costs down yet still stay in the black. Are they stuck with a factory that charges too much? Or do they not have enough up front capitol to produce enough figures to get a better price per figure?

Or is Xovergen just greedy, and charges more so that they can have a higher take-home on each figure? If so, then good luck to 'em. But maybe if they charged a bit less they could sell a lot more and in the end have about the same total profit. (A bit less per figure, but more figures sold total.)

Whatever the reasoning is, if it is Xovergen shooting themselves in the foot with greed, or being stuck with high costs for reasons outside of their control, the end result is products that don't seem cost effective to me for what I'd get compared to how much I'd have to pay. For those who do buy it, I hope it is awesome for you. But alas, I shan't be included.

Im gonna take one for the team !!!

Even I was a bit shocked at the price, was expecting around $150. But I do have the Trailerforce and a Henkei Prime so this would be an awesome addition to the complete the set. It might go on sale later and have me feeling stupid, but f**k it, I want it to expand my Japanese G1 shelf. Hell if they do a Trailerforce in orange for Botcon Ginrai and a Godbomber set to go with it, Id probably Buy it too.

Not really seeing that great a similarity. I suppose if you squint a bit, the way both armors puff out the chest, and add girth to the arms and legs. But the distinctive elements are all different, such as the GBP-1 armor having the missile pods on the shoulders and the twin rockets (similar to the later Fast Pack armor used on Super Valkyries and the G1 Jetfire toy) on the back. Meanwhile the Xovergen armor (inspired, of course, by God Ginrai) has those big red wings on the shoulders, where as the armored up Valkyrie, even being based on a jet as it is, keeps its wings firmly tucked away. (You can theoretically pull them out a bit, but they quickly bump into the armor on the arms and shoulders. Besides which, the armored up version was never seen in animation with the wings extended.)

im planning on getting the xovergen trailerforce (reg and black) and the godarmor. but im with everyone else... it seems pretty damn expensive.

and seriously xovergen! make a fire guts trailerforce already!

Not quite sure how I feel about this.

Think the MP-10 toy is far too beautiful of a sculpt to cover up in a costumed armor snap on parts. Guessing the Diecast metal parts on MP-10 will chip when the armor parts are put on them.

Skipping the PMOP-Super Ginrai armor for MP-10 and going straight for the Godbomber armor just seems like a weird and awkward thing to do. Yes I realize it's not possible for MP-10 to fold up into a rubix cube and fit inside this 3rd party PMOP Armor.

Didn't like the 3rd party PMOP armor that this company created. Also didn't like how it looked or attached to various HasTak Optimus or Convoy toys.

While I think Putting Godbomber armor on top of MP-10 looks nice and is very creative. Just don't think the MP-10 toy needs it as it's a work of art all by itself.

Thought the 1988 PMOP toy needed that Godbomber Armor. Because I always thought PMOP looked terrible by itself.

Yotsuyasan summed it up pretty nicely. Their stuff is just too darn expensive.

I skipped the original trailerforce because it was too much IMO, and I'm skipping this for the same reason.

Both look OK, and the combined mode is really quite nice, but it is not $400 nice for my hard earned scratch.

If each piece was closer to the $100 range, I may have sprung for it/them. As it is, I'm happy with my custom that fills this gap in the collection.

I placed an order for the nemesis Trailerforce and got a great deal on a KO OP that will rest forever inside...can't wait! :KREMZEEK:

I think this is the most expensive thing they have produced yes? I am known for spending that extra money if it looks awesome and if there are little to no QC issues but this is too damn much.

Not to mention (as someone pointed out) the fact that there may be possible scratching on a already pricey TF. I see what Xovergen tried to do, it does look impressive no doubt but not at that price.

I think they will move but when the price drops I'm sure. :VEHI:
