I'd probably have to go with Rydia from Final Fantasy IV. She had a great story arc, and was a terribly useful character in the game, to boot. I blame my love of "weird" hair colors on her.

I thought Uriko from the Bloody Roar series might give her a run for her money, but the character had a decrease in intelligence from the second game on that was Caboose-like in its severity.

The Suikoden games had a lot of great female characters. And I love Alia from the Mega Man X series, as well.

Velocity, from Cyberforce, was a cool character. Then Pat Lee's artwork ruined her.

And for obscure characters, Kaela from Realm of the Claw. Probably NO ONE remembers that.

...and is it wrong of me, given the way this thread's gone, to be bummed that no one has said Taylor Hanson? =p

Isn't cutting something they both have in common? And I don't think weight plays a part, they both seem to generally be somewhat rotund. The only real difference I can ascertain is that emos have more stripes.
