(Achievement prizes - maybe on the sum of your characters levels or something (the highest int/rank?), small upgrades - buyable alts, fancy weapons, etc...
Non-Person Enemies - Some canon characters
-I see Psychout allready wrote these)
Mission chains - say, if you beat X, Y, and Z missions a special mission or arena fight could be available against a canon enemy for some special prizes (badge, canon weapons, etc...)
Multi-faction missions (like against the quintessons)
Missions not only giving Energon or Experience, or at least not on a standard ratio - some giving more energon, some a little more Xp...

2. A difference between melee and ranged weapons beyond stats.
3. Some sort of strategic element to the game (war map)
4. Some of the ideas for tactics that have been given before such as: mini-minions (tapes ect), Target/Head masters, pretenders, triple changers, combiners (even if this is only really useful in plot based battles like in a tourney). On a related idea non-alt mode power/tactics maybe make it so you can't have one if you chose one of the above (they are your special power) canon examples: Mirage's invisibility, Bombshell's ceribro sp? shells, Skywarp's teleportation. This also would help anyone wanting to make a team based on Transformers Animated.
5. Special missions that aren't in the normal circuit but are used in tourneys/war events/strong hold attacks/ect that use environmental effects ,NPCs, turrents/drones,endurance fights, maybe combiners.
6. More ability to set non cosmetic stuff for you character like action/attack preferences maybe unlocked with levels of certain stats: int, skill, rank come to mind but I could see courage as a requirement for ignoring incoming fire to do a special heal on a party member.
7. Maybe play with the current base tactics to balance them more, like maybe characters with heal if they are still up after a fight can heal some # of party members still up (stasis lock too difficult for field repair) getting some extra exp and making endurance fights more viable.
8. More of a difference between certain alt modes other than tactics which would involve some environment stuff.
9. The designated leader of your team being more power than the others base.

Errrrr.... NO! Just look at the countless topics with "Where's my team???" and such, even a year after the Great wipe - people can go to a half-year absence, if somebody wipes their team, they can get very angry.

We have never removed a team completely as a result of inactivity, the amount of space taken up by dead accounts in the database in minimal so that isnt an issue, so weve not likely to be doing it now.

That's the only time characters have been wiped. There's NEVER been any other character removal like that (unless a player was banned)

I couldnt agree more.
We've never deleted inactive players, (apart from unpreventable total game resets) and Im pretty certain moggy wont let it happen now either. The casual cannon-fod... er, players are what makes this game fun.
All that happens now is that they are removed from the high score charts and any character names they have become available for others to use, then the account is set to inactive.
As for your team, as Burn said, the only reason you're team is gone is 'cos of the big server farm disaster of October 2008 where we lost everyone and OS had to rebuild the game.

For example before you buy any tactics a Battle Station alt might have Strafe and Repair at 1000, Ram at 3,500, and Avoid at 4,500. Now if the multiplier comes into play, Say said Battle Station picks up Avoid first. Avoid would go on it's normal course for that base price of 4,500, while the others would be multiplied by 2 (or whatever multiplier that gets decided on) like stats are now. So lets say the player decides that he wants Repair, which would have had it's base hit with a multiplier, would now cost 2,000 to grab it. The remaining two tactics would now have base costs of 4,000 and 14000 for strafe and ram respectively.
While the costs would encourage the use of the "normal" tactics for the alt mode, it would still allow for greater build flexibility and personalization.
Note: All numbers were pulled out of the nearest reclaimer unit as examples of how it would work, and do not constitute a fully thought out set of numbers.

how about we name our weapon(s) and theyjust do damage based of stats. like we get to name a primary and secondary, pick melee or ranged and name it "my gun name here", rather than buy a fusion rifle or null ray.

I will say this though, naming your own weapons has been brought up repeatedly in the past and pretty much decided against as you're bound to get some moron calling their gun "Big Dildo Jizz Bang" or some other stupid or profanity filled name.
And it's bad enough keeping an eye on character names, mottos and bios ...

i just don't wanna see 1 weapon that gets used while a bunch others don't get love cuz they aren't as good.
alternitively weapon templates. make all weapons the same, with stats and upgrades the mitigating factor. make a fusion cannon and a sword the same. but firepower and str and thermal upgrade (or some nonsense) make the weapon more powerful. no more every low level char with a null ray

I was gonna say promote mods who's specific job is to police character names and mottos.
I'd like to see weapons start off as pretty basic, and then we can add on/change parts to the weapon. Some wouldn't really be a big deal, like putting a silencer/flash muffler on the barrel would more or less just be cosmetic, but would be cool for characters who are supposed to be sneaky assassins/infiltrators. Adjusting ammo capacity (not really a big deal in the current game) would be cool too. Changing barrel types for accuracy over damage, changing ammo type for specific damage types. There's a whole lot of stuff you could do just to the guns. Melee weapons you could do the same thing with, different blade types, different materials, different hand guards, different grips.
KoToR is a good starting example, so is Rainbow Six Vegas and Army of Two. If you add 4-5 variables, and a maybe a hundred tops to each variable, you have more possibilities then characters in the game. I'd really really like to see that.
