oh. NOT trying to discuss it but...
i really love how Adventure quest worlds does weapons. all weapons do same damage by level. a lvl 5 axe and a lvl 5 mallet do the same damage. its all about how you want the char to look. to make variety some weapons are drops or certain shops only. you can upgrade your weapon at a shop to give your weapon a level and you can upgrade it. No more weapon drops above your level. find a "template" make the thing. you could also make some weapons deal static damage with some others a little more variable (15-25 instead of 20 for example) give equip slots to those for secondary ability's like more betters damage or stun or what ever you want and you have a balanced diverse set of weapons..
also "critical hits" in the new game. not constantly like in pokemon. but basically on the RNG ad an "if #=(highest number)" damage mutiplier , and maybe upgrades to add to crit number.
And having armor based off end and rank could be a good combo. just end would make high end chars meat shields, but again this assumes the new game resembles the current one.

In no particular order...
1) Beast Modes
2) Not having to hunt down the alt mode you want (Don't mind Alt rotation, but having to play until the alt you want "drops"? Really irritating.)
3) Beast factions, even if just as Bot/Con with different badges)
"Partner" robots (Minicons, Targetmasters, etc.)
4) Meaningful non-time intesive play options for those of us who are lucky to average 2 or 3 hours a day playing the game sometimes.
5) Narrower level bands. I dislike having to face level 3 characters with my level 1 team.
6) The option to send multiple members of my team into the same mission.
7) Triple-changers.

Not a bad idea, as long as you can't gain XP from it. I believe Burn's Challenge Arena covered that though.

wait.. when did we start paying attention to burn?
let people get xp, even if its half or something. just because the other faction isnt around doesnt mean you cnat train and raise your skills

Even if it's only half xp, there's still a huge chance of abusing that ability

The way it seems like it's going to work is XP based, not skill based so it should be relatively easy to pick up some lower levels fairly quickly, depending on how much you play.

I wouldn't be so sure... the level system will be somewhat different, and you wont be able to bully the lowest level opponents quite so much as you rise through the levels next time around.

I have an idea for an addition for ether an update for the current HMW or the new HMW V2. It's Team Battles. These battles consist of two teams that meet these certain conditions:
1. Both teams must agree to a battle
2. Both teams must have the same amount of teammates
The battle will last for 1 hour at max or until one team loses. There will be a 3 hour waiting period for anyone waiting for a response to a challenge. If the timer runs out, then nothing happens except for that the challenger will receive some money and experience. If a battle is successful and a victor emerges, the amount of experience and energon they receive will be calculated just like how the the missions are currently. The catch is that they receive a single amount of energon but each teammate will receive a separate amount of experience points. Please consider this idea.
