It's nice to hear that they didn't overdo it with the CGI.
No new info really, but still a decent interview.

I told the fire to go **** itself, and it did.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think the original tfs had that bad of animation that you would ignore it completely? Either you're a fan or you're not. Don't be afraid, just because you're in the movie doesn't mean you need to like everything about it, and everything that came before...

Finally, the truth is out...
"In any film you have to raise the stakes for the audience to care and the audiences don’t watch Shirley Temple try to save the orphanage by putting on a play with her pals and saying “ oh, fudge”. That’s not real anymore. Since Vietnam became prime time there is no innocence if there’s a television. You have an audience that sees death and girls gone wild and Enron, if you dumb it down, they ain’t gonna pay $10 bucks a pop to sit in the dark."
Bay can't release an "innocent" pop-culture movie, cause it won't draw the people / $$$. Bay is also protecting pop-culture by not making his movie like the original material so that "innocent" Prime, etc. stays innocent while his guys are "tough" and "movie-drawing" material...

Interview quote:
ZW: I play Donnelly, the wise ass Boston smart mouth of the Ranger squad. We start off in-country, in Iraq, coming home from “wet-work” behind enemy lines. Donnelly is like the Bill Paxton character form Aliens.
After reading this, it made me feel that the human may be overshadowing the robots in this movie.

no new info? how about this:
It’s like being a kid and playing super hero, only the guns, helicopters, F-117 Stealth bombers, F-22 Raptors, and tanks are real.
guns... check.
helicopter.. check.
f22 raptor.. check.
tank.. check.
wait a second though - f-117 stealth bomber?! has he let something slip?
it certainly is a HUGE evil looking and deadly vehicle.. it is the same wingspan and length as an f22a, but considerably heavier. hmm speculation time methinks...

Actually, I couldn't help but think of Saved by the Bell, but my childhood was messed up so there you go.

So how come in the image (catalogue?) in this news article:
http://www.seibertron.com/news/view.php?id=9350
we don't see a Megatron Earth-mode toy? I would've thought they'd have put it next to Earth Optimus.
