P. Prime of 2005 recently received Alternators "Battle" Ravage, but the license plate has been changed to only say "RVG" instead of "BTLRVG". This is fantastic news indeed! More than likely, all shipping Ravages will have this change, as the "BTLRVG" plate was only a test model.

We've all heard the rumors. We've heard that Dreamwave is filing for bankruptcy. We've heard that Dreamwave has
already filed for bankruptcy. We've heard that the company still has not renewed the Transformers comic book license. We've heard that the company went into receivership shortly before their holiday break. We've even heard that the company has already gone out of business.
What we have not heard is anything official from Dreamwave or Hasbro. Even though what we've heard so far seems to spell doom for Dreamwave's run as the producer of Transformers comic books, it's been almost, if not entirely, unofficial. The sad truth is that, it will probably only remain that way for another few days. Safe money is that the next press release sent we read from Dreamwave will inform the public at large that the company will no longer be providing fans with new Transformers comics.
However, remember that you're reading the Seibertron.com rumors page, and if time has proven one thing, it's that Professor Smooth has been wrong before. I'm sure that I'm not the only one hoping I'm wrong again.

Seibertron.com contributor Prime Nova has been kind enough to send us this wealth of information:
Hasbro has shown samples of the 2005 line to retail buyers. (those are the folks that purchase the items their store will offer to sell, which is usually a corperate-wide position.)
Among the items shown were the Cybertron toys we've already seen via Galaxy Force. There will be more "Primes" later on down the line, besides the fire truck, female race car & dragon that we have already seen. Later toys were shown by illustration, as no prototypes were available yet. Among them: a deluxe scale cheetah.
And they were shown plans for Alternators 2005. Among them: "Suzuka Blue Metallic" repaint of Windcharger. No word on the identity and a deep red pick-up truck. No word on the make or model of the truck. And plans are being made to expand the line to the $30 price point with 1/72 scale aircraft. Average wingspan/rotor 8-10 inches.
No Universe toys were shown, and the only all-plastic redecos were as part of the Cybertron line as case filler and in the form of two store exclusives. (They did not show other store's exclusives to this buyer, obviously, so they may be more than this from other retailers.)
Hasbro will offer comic book pack-in sets a`la their recent GI Joe 3-packs. All four two-packs shown will feature a full sized comic book from Dreamwave. They will be from various series, including one that has never aired in the USA. No price yet, but the toys shown were basic & deluxe scale.
Since no pictures exist, treat this as a rumor for now.

Tfans pointed out a report by Fuyoh.net which mentions that Takara may be thinking of of creating a CGI Transformers movie.
Here is the snippet of the report focusing on Transformers:
Transformers fans will no doubt be heartened by the company’s strong focus on the line. This is hardly surprising since Transformers racked up 2,338 million yen in sales for the six months ending September 2004 making it Takara’s second-biggest hit in the Boys’ Toys Division after Duel Masters.
In one little-reported move, Takara is also working with Micott and Basara, Inc to produce a CG Transformers movie for Japan and abroad in 2006. This is apparently a separate project from the Dreamworks-helmed movie. However, I couldn’t find additional details on the web aside from the mention in Takara’s 2004 annual report and there’s no mention of it on Micott and Basara’s web site.

A picture has shown up on the
TFans board of what looks like an Alternator Prowl. While a listing for that particular car (without police markings) has shown up in Wal-Mart computers, the odds are good that this picture is bogus. Note that the word "police" seems to have been added digitally. Also, note the lack of any of the tell-tale markings that this is a Transformer at all. Then again, I could be wrong, we all know it's happened before.

Mark this day on your calendars, there are some rumors comin' out of Dreamwave that don't involve the dispute with "Brad Mick" and Adam Patyk. I've been hearing some gossip that the Dreamwave may be working on either a mini-series featuring a Japanese series (Likely Victory) or finally doing the Alternators comic everyone's been begging for. Would either of these projects help to turn a decent profit for Dreamwave? Would you buy either series? Is this rumor completely bogus? We shall see...

For those of you who were wondering if there would be an official convention at all in 2005, wonder no more. There will be an official Transformers convention in that oh-so-special year. There's not been anything released yet about who's going to be putting on the show, but that should be made public either shortly before or right after the new year. A location has already been decided upon and I can tell you that it won't be Chicago again. Rumors about that it may be in California, Texas, New York or Florida. I've got it on good authority that 3H, and Glen Hallit, will NOT be involved with the show.

Valkysas of 2005 reports finding a single Kicker/Highwire set at a Wal-Mart in Lansing Michigan. Unfortunately, we have nothing to confirm this yet, but early December was the projected street date for this set.

Story 01: Sacred/Holy Birthplace
Story 02: Encounter with the Transformers
Story 03: Protect the Secret Base!
More as it develops or is verified.
