Rumor has it that Takara is looking to reissue the G1 Galvatron figure sometime in late 2004/early 2005. Considering Galvatron was created (in TFTM) in 2005, this would be a fun little coincidence. However, since TFTM didn´t take place in 2005 in Japan, this is probably nothing more than wishful thinking by TF fans.

It seems that the upcoming Alternator, Hound, has undergone a slight transformation in the name department. Following Jazz, Ratchet, Tracks, and others, Hound´s name may have "Autobot" added as a prefix. Not a huge deal, the worst thing that could happen is that your reciept may read "Autobot Hound" instead of merely "Hound."

We´ve all seen Transformers: The Movie. Any fan worth his Energon could tell you everything that happened during what some fans say are the absolute greatest eighty-seven minutes of animation ever produced. But what could the actual animators tell us? Would they speak of scenes that were never added to the movie? Would they speak of characters surviving to fight another day? Seems like it. The good folks at
Transformers Cell Arkive have updated with some
cells never before seen by internet-going transfans. There is some unbelievably cool stuff here, there are far worse ways to kill ten minutes...

We´ve recieved reports that Armada´s Thrust figure (a that´ll have no less than 3 different colors by the end of the Armada toyline) will be repainted again in Energon. Months ago, we´d heard it would be repainted in Dirge-like colors (and still may) but this repaint is in "Sunstorm" colors. This will be the third figure to get the "Sunstorm treatment" following the G1 "anime Starscream" and HOC Starscream PVC.

Our friends over at
Action-HQ have posted a listing on their website that the the Hasbro version of the much anticipated Masterpiece Convoy will be made up mostly of plastics rather than die-cast metal. If this turns out to be true, Optimus Prime joins the Alternators in what fans have dubbed the "Transformers that should have been awesome but Hasbro ****ed ´em up" category of high-end figures. Keep in mind that this has yet to be 100% confirmed.

The
Cybertron Cell Archive has updated with some interesting new pieces that show what Unicron´s
robot and
planet modes could have looked like had changes not been made. Would a Decepticon-colored planet named "The Entity" be as endearing as Unicron? Some people see a resemblance to Energon´s Unicron when they look at these pics. Others don´t. What do you see?
