Greetings Seibertronians! We saw a tease of it before but now, thanks to a tip off from fellow Seibertron users,
Mindmaster,
Bacem,
Sabrblade,
Bud Grimlock and TF-fan Kev777[/i], Hasbro have now revealed Maverick officially!
While debuting on the
Official Transformers Instagram, IGN also revealed him in an
article.
Maverick also comes with two guns a volleyball, two alternate hands so he can mess around with the latter and a mini motorcycle to he'll recreate one of the iconic scenes from the first movie.
Here's the official press release from Hasbro:
TRANSFORMERS-TOP GUN COLLABORATION INTRODUCES ALL-NEW ‘MAVERICK’ ROBOT CHARACTER – AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER TODAY!
‘More than Meets the Eye’ Takes Flight
in Celebration of the original TOP GUN Film
PAWTUCKET, RI – July 13, 2020 – Feel the need… the need for speed! Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ:HAS) and Paramount Pictures today revealed the first-ever TRANSFORMERS-Top Gun collaboration, starring the all new character MAVERICK. Not to be confused with Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, this new TRANSFORMERS robot makes an ideal wingman, taking form as the iconic Northrop Grumman F-14 Tomcat® jet from the original Top Gun film. This nostalgic Top Gun mash-up MAVERICK robot marks a celebratory moment ahead of the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic original film, Top Gun: Maverick, releasing December 23, 2020.
After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.” Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.
TRANSFORMERS Autobot MAVERICK stands at 7 inches in robot mode and can convert from robot to classic Northrop Grumman F-14 Tomcat® jet mode in 25 steps (The F-14 Tomcat is a registered trademark of Northrop Grumman, and is used under license). He includes a screen-inspired miniature motorcycle accessory and 2 alternate hands that can hold the included volleyball accessory. This bot is always ready to go vertical in jet mode or dominate a slow-mo volleyball montage in robot mode. This MAVERICK robot figure also features folding jet wings, movie-inspired details, including a helmet design inspired by the 2020 Top Gun: Maverick film, and includes 4 missile accessories that can be mounted on figure’s arms in robot mode and under wings in jet mode. Even the packaging is inspired by the aircraft carrier!
TRANSFORMERS robots have always been more than meets the eye, but now, through the TRANSFORMERS Collaborative, fans can experience these larger than life characters as they team-up, mash-up, and meet up with other characters, teams and people who share this same special quality. It is a world of constant change where things are not what they seem.
The MAVERICK figure is available now for pre-order at
HasbroPulse.com, while supplies last.
So far there's no word on any accompanying media like there was with the Ghostbusters and Back to the Future crossovers.
Will you be feeling the need to get this figure? Well get a Pre-Order in from
Hasbro Pulse now!
Looking forward to this? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

We have a plethora of card reveals for you all to mull over today, and all from different sources. Let's dive in shall we!
First up is the reveal of
Superion joining the ranks of the Autobots in Wave 2: Rise of the Combiners. This comes courtesy of
io9.Gizmodo.com. This news was shared with us by fellow Seibertron users,
Nathaniel Prime and
Nexus Knight.
To make up
Superion, you of course need the individual Aerialbots:
Silverbolt
Air Raid
Firefight
Skydive
Alpha Bravo
.
Here's the enigma you'll need:
As you can see, Superion follows the trend set by Menasor in using the team rooster as set by their recent toyline appearance in Combiner Wars.
The team also gets a Aerialbot specific card.
Next up is the reveal of the second theme deck for the game...this time focused on one of the mightiest Decepticon Combiners of all...
Devastator!
This comes courtesy of
Kotaku, and we were pointed in the right direction by fellow Seibertron user and podcast host,
ScottyP!
Devastator will be released in a separate Rise of the Combiners deck on March 29th, the same way
Metroplex was last October.
Just as you would expect, here's the usual crew you need to make this green giant:
Scrapper
Mixmaster
Bonecrusher
Hook
Longhaul
Scavenger
Like all other Combiners so far, these also come with an Enigma.
What do you think about these reveals? Will you be hunting down any of these Combiners for your deck? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Crave!
We’ve rolled out some changes this week on Crave. First, we updated our comment system. Along with a more streamlined look we have also added a general discussion wall to the main page of each marketplace. Also, we have updated out photo uploader, so now users can add to our catalog galleries without listing items for sale. Finally, the new buyer promotion and October Seller Contest continue, so there is plenty of fun to be had for buyers and sellers as we head towards the end of the month.
The usual new and good priced listings are below as well. Enjoy!
