Massive Sale on Comixology for all Transformers trades

Posted by william-james88 Feb 1, 2016 at 3:47pm CST 38,547 views
Good news to anyone getting into the comics recently, Comixology currently has a sale on a bunch of IDW trades (collections of individual issues) including Transformers trades. However, this only applies to trades, meaning that if the individual issues were collected into one book, like Last Stand of the Wreckers, then yay! However, certain Transformers series, like Megatron Origins, does not have a digital collection available on Comixology and there is no discount on the individual issues. Below you will find a list of what is available. If you are curious for a chronological order to these stories, we have a nice guide on this site for you to check out.

I've been meaning to get some Trades in paper, but I don't know if I can take that kind of hit while saving for figures. What do people think of digital vs paper? These deals are kinda hard to pass up. I have an older tablet to read them on, but is it more satisfying to use the e-readers with the paper-like screens?

I read em on my touch screen laptop. These are very colourful pages so its different than the black on white where you would need less light to enjoy. I find a bright screen makes the colours pop so I dont need a specialized e-reader.

Also, I tend to like paper comics, but as a collector. Its nice to have a whole box of Batman from the 70s to today. But these are newer series which wont go up in value ever, so the only way to get the most for your money (if you care about maximizing your limited income) is the spend the least possible money, which would mean going digital. I want to read these stories to keep informed of whats going on, especially MTMTE and digital does the job well. Plus I love being able to zoom in on Alex Milne's hyper detailed pencils!

Ooh, good points. I have a few sample issues and I very much enjoy the ability to zooooom! I also like the panel swipe option, it kinda helps bring the story to life. Thanks for the input!

The Comixology app is great. I use it on my phone and tablet. I much prefer the digital comics because they don't take up room and I can tote all my comics with me everywhere I go. Their "Guided View" is an awesome option if you're on a smaller screen too.

Now the question I have is how did I miss this sale on the app. I check it almost everyday. Well I'm sure glad someone caught it. Whelp, time to go fill in some missing books.

MTMTE collections acquired! :-D My tablet is old, slow, and the battery sucks, but it's better used for reading comics than it is stashed away in a drawer. I'll have to check back for more sales later because the other collections were starting to confuse me, even with the guides :HEADHURTS: Plus I'll have to crosscheck what I have in paper from Dark Cybertron, Combiner Wars and such from buying deluxes.
