Empire magazine has an interview with the Transformers franchise director in which he discusses the tone of the third film and what fans should expect from the Autobots and Decipticons.
Please stop reading this if you do not wish to be spoiled for the movie:
The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
* There will be no dorky humor ("We wanted to make the movie much more serious, more adult.")
* When a robot dies, it will actually die. And that death will be shown onscreen.
* The robots will be given more 'weight' in the story ("They were missed in movie two. We've given them a strong back-story and pathos.")
* Sentinel Prime is "A big brother and mentor to Optimus Prime".
* The Ferrari is a Decepticon nicknamed 'Dreadbox'.
* Starscream and Shockwave will have new companions. "The scale on one of them is jaw dropping" - "It will be 'what the Hell was that thing?"
* The Apollo 11 'incident' show in the teaser is a big government secret.
* There will be no army. Chicago is left in the hands of the Autobots (but some heroes sneak in through the back-door so to speak).
* The human gliders are used because they slip under the Decepticons' radar - as do humans - so they'll be the people who can hammer it to the 'Cons and create an opening for the Autobots.

No dorky humour? Didnt they say that about ROTF and look what we got...if that is their idea of sophisticated humour then what should we expect?
Still, looking forward to the film. If the films continue I would like to see them take a more grown up direction though I know that they need to be kiddy friendly due to the nature of them being toy based.

This doesn't make sence. There's a hell of alot more to a live action TF movie than the military's involvment. How about the human characters? How about real vehicles? A live setting? I fail to see how the military's involvment somehow "makes" a live action TF movie.

Just the lack of humans. I mean, I'm pretty sure there will be people running for their lives, but if they arn't fighting back, it just doesn't make sense to me.

From what I've heard, many have complained because there were too many humans and not enough Transformers themselves. Though yes, I would also prefer some more Army approach myself.
About the info itself: Sounds good so far.
The Ferrari - didn't we sometime see a video where they were chasing the Ferrari? Something with Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Ironhide and a fire-truck?

Look at what happened in ROTF. People complained that there whern't enough robots in the first movie, then complained that there where too many in ROTF and that they didn't get much character. What do you expect? There are like 40+ robots! You can't expect each of them to have 30 minute introductary scenes.

Thats *ing stupid. Uh, motion detection? Thermal? dear god, they're robots, not faeries from the planet uranus. Urgh, already such a blarring hole in a more "adult" transformers. The rest sounds okay, except that I'm sure whoever the big companion is, will be a let down to me since it'll tarnish the appeal of an already estabalished character... i.e. scorponok.

Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the space stuff, the fights, Shockwave, Megatron (f**k Starscream, I wish he died in the first film) and probably Ironhide dying. I just hope they don't waste it and make him a badass to the end like Dinobot in Code of Hero.

Oh come on now dinobot was epic lol. Probably my favorite character ever. Anyways I also believe Ironhide will die (by shockwave's arm/gun) and I also f**king hate this version of starscream. I usually love him and his treachery but cant stand him in these movies. So ugly looking. And weak. And disappointing. And I'm not sure what to believe about this Ferrari. I hope Ironhide doesn't die, he is one of my favorite characters. But if he does, it should be by Megatron, in a similar fashion to the original movie. That would be awesome!

That's exactly right.
But honestly, I'm going against my instincts and am looking forward to this film. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and if its crap, well, its crap and I can rant about it till I'm blue in the face.
I'm doing a lot of hoping lately, so I'll extend some of that hope over to this thing.

1) "A" Space race. Not "The" Space race. Hmmm.
2) As somebody else has said: "Nascar with mullet".
3) A robot that actually dies will be shown on screen, but the Twins don't make the final cut.Hmmm.
4) "Starscream and Shockwave" but not "Megatron" or "the Decepticons".
5) Something is gonna have to take out that invasion fleet. Or does it?
6) Killing the invasion commander alone won't stop the invasion, just promote a new commander, and since there's no invisible Human army to turkeyshoot the whole Decepticon Empire remnant once and for all, what's the Autobot objective? In fact, what's the point of the Decepticons leveling Chicago? Was Chicago built on a Native American burial ground that had hidden another SunHarvester in the toolshed teepee?
(RESPECTfully to the Native Americans without a shadow of hesitation).

Assuming it's wheeljack.
In more than just name.
Also, assuming Deceps can't detect Human equipment-Bluetooths,Cellphones etc.
Maybe they're drones.
But they're not all drones, so wtf?
Ratchet walked straight into the power line in TF1.
But he sensed the Pheromones on the boy.He knew they came specifically from Sam, directed towards Mikaela, in a city alleyway full of random information.
Yet 'Bee can hear every radio channel at once, hotswapping and mixing them at high speed to string together messages, and Soundwave can monitor every phonecall from orbit, so they can definitely detect the digital frequencies that carry Human frequencies, and the Human frequencies within them (phone lines, Skywalker sound,Digital remastered music etc).
Why can't they pick up a Human ElectroMag field?
I get that Barricade can't detect any signal or signal trail from Sam or Mikaela as long as 'Bee has them stowed inside himself with all the windows up, and that Bees Altmode (at least) is attuned to avoid Decep detection...
Or is it that they can detect Humans at all times, but it registers as 'pest' or 'vermin' or even 'microbe'?

Maybe there is some artifact hidden in Chicago that can lead them to another sun harvester or maybe something contains the location of an energon deposit on Earth.

There are some attraction in Chicago that could hold a promising artifact. They have a history museum, Observatory, and the Museum of Science & Industry. Of course I think any object or another ancient transformer (Like Jetfire) would be in the Museum of Science & Industry.

I want Ironhide to have a balls-to-the-wall take-on-all-comers fighting death, like Dinobot did. Not some punk ass way Megatron back stabbed Prime in RoTF after Prime bitch slapped all 3 of them. And I'd like to see megatron kill Ironhide the way he did in the 1986 movie. I picture Megatron once again going after Sam, or even Optimus, and a battered and wrecked Ironhide reaching out and grabbing Megatron's leg to prevent him, causing him to turn around, look down, and say "Such heroic nonsense." followed by him aiming his cannon and blowing Ironhide to bits. Awesome and fitting.
And I think that aside from Devastator's balls and the Fallen whenever he appears, Starscream is the biggest waste of screen time in Bayverse.

Yea also hated the ball scene for Devastator I thought that was a little to childish and dumb. But I like your scenario of Ironhide dieing it sounds really good. Most of the reason I'm disappointed with starscream is there has been none of his treachery and him trying to overthrow or kill megatron. That is how I know starscream. I also started thinking about in the new daytona 500 spot where starscream flies down at sam, I wondering now if the knowledge of the allspark is still in his mind and their after his mind again. I had been thinking there was an artifact in Chicago they wanted but know I'm thinking their just after Sam again.

This is the last movie of this Trilogy, so they/he probably want it to end with a bang.
And what better way to end with a bang than kill someone important or powerful from the good-guys ranks and then have him avenged successfully.
I don't want him to die, but even Sherlock would say that the possibility is 78% of 100%.

The humans gliding in under the decepticon radar. I'm assuming this means the Decepticons have trouble detecting non-metallic objects, not that they can't detect it. and with all the fighting going on around them, there probably more focused on bigger threats. Hopeing this gets explained in the movie.
SP dying? I'd say I will take that bet.
Ironhide dying? I think he'll pull out to the end. (hope so anyways)
Is Chicago really going to be "Chicago" in the movie?

Unless, of course, you meant that the whole like...the Twins got more screen time/character development than Chicken-legs, in which case, yeah.
HK, mock not the Dorito!
Yeah, actually, that's what I meant. He's an iconic character, who's helped shaped the storyline of many a series. Yet, in the first film he had 2 lines, and in the second, he was a babysitter and he acted like he had a bad chewing tobacco habit. Total waste of a good character. Rivals with the total waste of Devastator and the name Jetfire.
And yes, he is a Dorito. Nacho cheese. Seriously, his robot mode design sucks.
