Empire magazine has an interview with the Transformers franchise director in which he discusses the tone of the third film and what fans should expect from the Autobots and Decipticons.
Please stop reading this if you do not wish to be spoiled for the movie:
The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
* There will be no dorky humor ("We wanted to make the movie much more serious, more adult.")
* When a robot dies, it will actually die. And that death will be shown onscreen.
* The robots will be given more 'weight' in the story ("They were missed in movie two. We've given them a strong back-story and pathos.")
* Sentinel Prime is "A big brother and mentor to Optimus Prime".
* The Ferrari is a Decepticon nicknamed 'Dreadbox'.
* Starscream and Shockwave will have new companions. "The scale on one of them is jaw dropping" - "It will be 'what the Hell was that thing?"
* The Apollo 11 'incident' show in the teaser is a big government secret.
* There will be no army. Chicago is left in the hands of the Autobots (but some heroes sneak in through the back-door so to speak).
* The human gliders are used because they slip under the Decepticons' radar - as do humans - so they'll be the people who can hammer it to the 'Cons and create an opening for the Autobots.

Um……… these are the same plot details that are on IMDB, but with that aside, about the companions I bet it’s Starscream’s companion and I bet its name is Dreadwing or Lugnut

One word: Trypticon! Or at least, that's my guess.

Sounds pretty good to be fair. Some essential changes. How seriously should we take this? Doesn't Bay have a tendency to spread false info?

I am assuming the large decepticon is the thing with worm like tendrils in the trailer that was tearing up a road?
No dorky humour? Didnt they say that about ROTF and look what we got...if that is their idea of sophisticated humour then what should we expect?
Still, looking forward to the film. If the films continue I would like to see them take a more grown up direction though I know that they need to be kiddy friendly due to the nature of them being toy based.

Jeez I thought there was actually going to be something newsworthy there but it's just the re-printing of the yawn-inducing snippet of stuff from Empire magazine. Give us some real news because this doesn't even warrant a first glance.

DOTM sounds better and better to me, but I wonder why only Shockwave and Starscream get new companions? What about Megatron, the leader of the Decepticons?
I hope this doesn't mean he gets killed off in the first five minutes...

I'm a little worried about what might come. No army? That is going to take alot out of the movie for me. I've gotten used to the military fighting transformers. It wil feel so...wierd if they arn't. I mean, transformers fighting each other is awesome and all, but if that's the whole movie, theres no point in it being live action.

This doesn't make sence. There's a hell of alot more to a live action TF movie than the military's involvment. How about the human characters? How about real vehicles? A live setting? I fail to see how the military's involvment somehow "makes" a live action TF movie.

Just the lack of humans. I mean, I'm pretty sure there will be people running for their lives, but if they arn't fighting back, it just doesn't make sense to me.

From what I've heard, many have complained because there were too many humans and not enough Transformers themselves. Though yes, I would also prefer some more Army approach myself.
About the info itself: Sounds good so far.
The Ferrari - didn't we sometime see a video where they were chasing the Ferrari? Something with Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Ironhide and a fire-truck?

Look at what happened in ROTF. People complained that there whern't enough robots in the first movie, then complained that there where too many in ROTF and that they didn't get much character. What do you expect? There are like 40+ robots! You can't expect each of them to have 30 minute introductary scenes.

Decepticons can't sense humans?
Thats *ing stupid. Uh, motion detection? Thermal? dear god, they're robots, not faeries from the planet uranus. Urgh, already such a blarring hole in a more "adult" transformers. The rest sounds okay, except that I'm sure whoever the big companion is, will be a let down to me since it'll tarnish the appeal of an already estabalished character... i.e. scorponok.
