Paramount Becomes Biggest Spender of the Week for TV Ad Space for Transformers: The Last Knight

Posted by william-james88 Jun 14, 2017 at 10:49pm CDT 17,432 views
Variety keeps tabs on which movie marketing campaign spends the most money on television ad space every week and last week, it was Paramount that won the number 1 spot. They spent $7.34 million worth of ads in one week and we probably know best due to the overabundance of new tv spots emerging all through last week.

here is a short blub from the article which you can fully read here.

Ads placed for the fifth installment of the toy-spawned movie franchise had an estimated media value of $7.34 million through Sunday for 992 national ad airings across 38 networks. (Spend figures are based on estimates generated from June 5-11. Estimates may be updated after the chart is posted as new information becomes available.) Paramount appears to be targeting a millennial-skewing audience, with key ad placements during both “Tosh.0” and “The Amazing World of Gumball,” as well as during the NBA Finals.

More Bots. More News. More Awesome.

The first review is officially out! ... But it's in Chinese. I just had my computer translate the whole page.

Cogman is fun. :)

Ok no more. I think I may now ban myself from this site for a week or so til I see the film hopefully next Thursday.

Oh and I don't know if anyone cares or has mentioned it already but tweeting the hashtag #Transformers on Twitter is followed by an automatic emoji of the movieverse's Autobot symbol. :P

With the Chinese premiere not too long ago, we can expect some new trailers that show a little bit more of what we can expect from The Last Knight. Courtesy from 9 Media on YouTube, we have a six minute compilation of several Chinese trailers following the Chinese premiere. The first one alone has a couple of new scenes; the audience and fans are treated to hearing Megatron for the first time, as well as Infernocus splitting up into his individual components. The other trailers are also worth checking out, as they have a couple of extended scenes that we have already seen.

With just less than a week to go, The Last Knight is gearing up to be one of the biggest movies of the year. Are you just as excited as we are?

Damn I love TLK Megatron. :D

Ok that's it. No more. NO MORE!

Unless something super weird or big happens I'm off here til I've seen the film. Take care, folks. Have a good week. :D

In homage to Shockwave in the DOTM trailers, it looks like we already get too see Infernocus's brutal demise in the trailers alone.

This is apparently a new TV spot. I haven't watched it though. I'm done watching anything for this movie.

You don't actually believe that Infernocus would ever be some deep memorable character right?

He/They exist for the same reason Stormtroopers and other grunts exist and not ever complains about them.

I mean he had dialogue in both movies he was in but to be fair in movie 1 he was all yelling but it made sense for him, in DOTM he did talk but he was using lines meant for Soundwave that were reused for Barricade but still he spoke.

It's very likely he will talk it's just the matter of how much he talks but then again you don't need the character to speak to make them a good one I mean many people like Blackout even though he only said a couple of Cybertronian lines.

During the scene where Infernocus is combining I saw a familiar figure on the right of the screen.

Our lord and savoir Nitro Zeus the best con!

Also in the music video for the cover of Torches the scene where the Decepticons are caught in an explosion and additional Decepticon is in the background...Barricade who wasn't in the scene before.

Bay's flickr account uploaded some high quality screenshots of the movie and some pictures of the premier nothing is spoilers at all at least nothing obvious from what I can tell.

An interesting fact the description of the screenshot of Bee taking down the two legged Trf tank drone confirms that the name of those drones are "Sentinels".

Here are a couple of the stand out ones including the one I was talking about.

Paramount is going all out on this last sprint of movie advertising for Transformers:
The Last Knight. We have some new tv spots below along with some new HD images from Michael Bay's Flikr account, some promotional (and fictitious) behind the scenes footage featuring Hound and a great video featuring Calvin Johnson, Megatron, and his feud with Optimus Prime. We also finally have the confirmed running time to be 148m 53s by the British Board of Film Classification. Thanks to Seibertronians Deadput and SlyTF1.

He's the performer of the ending theme song in Chinese release. He's actually got a wikipedia page, much to my surprise.

You might have guessed, that dude wanted to say, "It was quite perfect, didn't have any useless scenes (literally, it reads "urine point" as one uses it to take a leak and not miss much), I want to give it 100% score."

The following interview did call out the whole OP-turn-to-the-dark-side arc a "typical Hollywood shit" though.
