Future’s SFX and Total Film transformed with special collector’s covers
Good vs Evil for SFX, as Total Film scoops world exclusive 3D Transformers pop-up 06/07/07– Future’s SFX and Total Film magazines are celebrating the eagerly-awaited release of the brand-new Transformers movie later this month, with exclusive collector’s covers, courtesy of Paramount Pictures. Transformers hits cinemas on Thursday, July 27th and by working closely with Paramount Future’s magazines have netted exclusive artwork to celebrate the release. The company’s recently redesigned movie magazine, Total Film offers the world’s first-ever pop up movie themed cover. The gatefold spread features lead bad guy, Megatron and the heroes Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, who appear on the 3D gatefold. Inside, Total Film delivers the definitive review of the Transformers movie, as well as an exclusive 8-page on set feature. Total Film grabs interviews with the stars, Shia Labeouf, Megan Fox and Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime. Also inside, the magazine features reviews of Oceans Thirteen, Hostel, Part II and Die Hard 4.0, as well as every other new cinema, DVD and download release. Total Film’s sister-title, the sci-fi and fantasy magazine, SFX offers three different Transformers covers. Also featuring exclusive artwork from Paramount Pictures, news stand copies of SFX allow enthusiasts to choose whether they support the Autobots (good guys) and Decepticons (bad guys), thanks to PROTECT and DESTROY themed covers. Subscribers to SFX receive a very special third cover, without coverlines, featuring the transforming car, Bumblebee. SFX includes the complete history of Transformers, including the toys and cartoons, which led to the blockbuster movie. The magazine also includes a report on the new Harry Potter film, a look at the classic children’s movie, Ace of Wands and on-set news from the live action Speed Racer movie. Simon Maxwell, Publisher of Future’s film and TV portfolio, said: “Both Total Film and SFX have secured amazing collector’s covers that both Transformers enthusiasts and movie fans will love. Exclusive artwork secured from Paramount is a testament to both magazine teams, who have worked hard to make sure their creative ideas come alive. “A whole generation of fans been waiting for the Transformers movie, and we are glad we can celebrate with them in style. Both magazines cover the film in a way that will really fire up their readerships, and crown a fantastic summer of films. SFX and Total Film will continue to innovate with fantastic cover treatments for all the biggest movie releases.” The August issues of Total Film and SFX are on sale now. |
