Transformers: The Last Knight: Northern Phoenix Freeways to be Closed for Filming

Posted by D-Maximal_Primal Jun 9, 2016 at 6:58pm CDT 21,420 views
We have just received word of a filming site for The Last Knight that will be coming up. In the area of Norther Phoenix, the northern-most section of Loop 303 from I-17 west to Lake Pleasant Parkway will be closed for 'permit activity,' this permit activity the filming of The Last Knight. A note provided to us is that this freeway is not yet complete as it is being built out. It also has no development leading up to it, with only desert and some small mountains in the area shut off. This section of road is also not very far from a dam and Lake Pleasant, which makes it very similar to the Roosevelt Lake area where The Last Knight is currently filming. Anyone out in that area should be able to catch some glimpses of stuff as it is brought in and maybe even some of the action in progress.

UPDATE: Here is the story on ABC15 in Arizona: http://www.abc15.com/news/region-phoeni ... -adot-says

More Bots. More News. More Awesome.

Possibly, but I would think a hustler like him would want a slightly slicker vehicle mode :-?
Swindle'd want something slicker, huh? How bout this?

It's gotta be either Wreck-Gar or Swindle.

Or just a background vehicle that's not a transformer at all.

Yeah, could just be a production crew vehicle used to transport props and equipment from site to site.

It's entirely plausible and even likely that's what it is, still, it's nice to be able to just speculate about it - I would love for it to be Wreck-gar voiced by Weird Al :x

That seems incredibly unlikely. A multi-million dollar movie isn't going to use an old flatbed truck to haul around a load of junk that's so haphazardly piled on that it looks like it could all come tumbling off at any moment. That vehicle would be a moving violation on any North American road if it were really a pile of junk and not one giant prop itself with everything properly stuck together. A real production crew would use enclosed trailers, not something like that.

True, but, a person could still expect nothing less from one such as Bay to be so absurdly bold as to want to transport that much haphazard junk in the most insane way possible. :michaelbay:

I can totally imagine him strapping a bunch of dynamite on top of a Pinto or something. He's just that bat s*** crazy.

Apparently they're stickers I think, the guy who took the photo was answering questions in the link in the news article, it's worth a look

Thanks :-) I just took a look after seeing your comment. Looks like they are trying to make it harder to guess who the vehicles are, if they are anyone at all

There's a nagging part of me that worries he'll go the same way of Sideways and Demolishor - hi and bye in the first 10 minutes.
