Transformers: The Ride NEST Orientation Room Revealed

Posted by El Duque Sep 28, 2011 at 12:27pm CDT 47,344 views
The Transformers: The Ride blog has been updated with a new image revealing the NEST facility orientation room where new recruits will be introduced to the Autobots. Keep in mind this blog is providing updates for the Universal Singapore version of the ride, but it's likely the stateside version will feature the same set up. Image mirrored below.

HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL: This is the orientation room in the NEST facility; Recruits who will join in the battle will receive a briefing from General Morshower here. You must pay attention when you arrive, it is important to know our allies.

AUTOBOTS RACHET and BUMBLEBEE will explain to you how the power-hungry DECEPTICONS came to Earth in search of the ALLSPARK. The leader of the AUTOBOTS, OPTIMUS PRIME, will also introduce the other AUTOBOTS: IRONHIDE, SIDESWIPE, and WHEELIE.

Once you are briefed, you will need to prepare yourself, mentally and physically, for this Ultimate 3-D Battle.

This sounds fun. And if closer to Spider Man's 3D ride, that sounds fun either. But when I was there in Orlando taking the Spider Man's ride, only 1 time I had completed the entire ride, the other two times power went out right in the middle. Thumbs down on that.

It'd be awesome to have the proper voice actors return - I've heard that actors generally take part in the creation of Universal rides (e.g. Brendan Fraser with The Mummy, Will Smith with MIB). Perhaps the robots finally have their time in the spotlight.

This is shaping up pretty well.

The Ride was directed by Michael Bay, so I'm assuming as such. I know I'm anxious to go to Hollywood Studios in California in 2012 to find this out.

It will be a couple years before we get to take a trip to Universal in Florida, so hopefully this will be up and running there by then. Looks awesome though. Makes me wish there was a full Tranformers section of a theme park somewhere with sections dedicated and designed as each iteration of TF franchise history. How cool would it be to wander through attractions for G1, G2, Beast Wars, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, IDW, Marvel, and all the rest? It will never happen, but it would be so cool to walk into a full scale G1 Ark with animatronic Autobots doing there thing and get a feel for what it was like to be Spike. Excuse me while I go on dreaming now ;)

Good news for fans in Singapore, TRANSFORMERS The Ride will be premiering at Universal Studios Singapore on December 3rd! Director Michael Bay will be attending an exclusive launch party on December 2nd to commemorate the event.

I am very excited about the debut of this attraction at Universal Studios Singapore. Finally, TRANSFORMERS fans will not only have the chance to watch the AUTOBOTS battle the DECEPTICONS on screen; they’ll actually be part of the action.

Guest will experience 12 scenes that seamlessly combine sets, 3D digital media, and special effects as new NEST recruits tasked with protecting an Allspark shard during a Decepticon attack. Guest will be introduced and transported by Evac, a new Autobot created exclusively for the ride who will receive his own toy in 2012. Visit Transformers The Ride Blog for further details.

American fans can look forward to Transformers: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood in the Spring of 2012.

Prime is actually in his ROTF CGI model and not DOTM

Hope it doesn't turn out cheesy-ass.

It likely takes place before DOTM, since Megatron is also in his ROTF body (and alive, for that matter). ;)

And, come on, it's a theme park ride! How can it not be cheezy?

I like the cart shown in the banner. Hope that is what we will get too when it finally hits Florida. And the toy actually looks good, unlike most toys that are available after being dumped into a store at the end of a ride *coughcough*Star Tours*coughcough*...

Looks like a potential ton of fun. Hopefully it opens at both US Universal Studios... too bad it didn't open in Florida first, I'm probably going there next year.

A character form the lore. Um, yeah, sure. Cuz Movie Ride Evac totally existed before now in previous fiction before now.

Look, just because two bots share the same name doesn't make them the same person. Cybertron Evac and Movie Evac definitely aren't the same guy, and neither is Movie Ride Evac.

Specifically, Ride Evac has never seen combat before, while both Cybertron and Movie Evac have.

You can see that they simply modded Roadbuster's character model into Evac (specifically the legs, chest and lower arms remain virtually untouched), but he's still pretty cool.

I don't understand why their making such a big fuss about these TF rides that are gonna open up worldwide.

By my standards, this isn't a ride. it's waiting in line a hour+. then you go into a movie theathre, sit down & have your movie theathre seat rock back & forth while you watch a 3-D Movie.

I've personally had a few bad experiences in various amusement parks in america. going to these amusement parks movie theathre 3-D Movie rides where the seat rocks back & forth. The only reasons we went on these movie theathre rides where the theathre seats rock back & forth rides is because my older cousin took us to the amusement park & he paid for everything. my older cousin is a star trek fan & also loves the broadway type live shows.

While your waiting in line in the 90 degrees plus summer weather, getting sun burned & sweating like a pig. the line progresses, you get to see walls painted or designed in the theme of the movie.

IMHO,This isn't a ride in a amusement park. by my standards,a ride in a amusement park is a ROLLERCOASTER ride. I wouldn't even label this as a kids ride,as their is zero danger of getting hurt & zero danger of getting nauseous or throwing up on the ride or after the ride is over.

These types of movie theathre rides where the theathre seats rocks back & forth are aimed at younger kids who are not older enough nor tall enough to ride the roller coasters.
