Here is a neat item for the serious collectors with the funds to back it up. A little bit of DOTM memorabilia has popped up on craigslist. For just $17,000 you can own the Decepticon Superfund armored truck used in the filming of DOTM. The ad states that it is in excellent condition with New Tires, Air Brakes, Spot Mirrors Etc. Too many features to list. Low Hours, Low Miles. It is in the Chicago area and the add can be seen here.
It would be awesome to buy that and turn it into a traveling Transformers collector's display that could be set up at toy shows and movie premieres and stuff like that! BBTS or TF Source could buy it and write it off as an expense for shows.
Man, one of the most characteristic (to the fans, anyway) vehicles used in the movie, going for a pretty decent price (for a movie prop, anyway). Imagining driving this to University...
Someone please either save pics, or e-mail the owner to ask for more pics showing off the truck's decals and insignias. Why? Because I want a DOTM more screen-accurate, shelf-warming(Yes, I went there. What of it?)PAYLOAD!
Finally! Someone (else)'s $8-12 last-minute christmas shopping in 2007 will pay off!
While on the subject of Loader, there is a Decepticon generic in one scene of the movie who has kibble and colors indicating that they might be Loader which explains why they were not in the Battle of Chicago and why their death was the result of Cemetery Wind since they were setting up a pillar.
Might make a fun little article or wiki trivia tidbit. (Edit: just looked on TFwiki and this whole Speedvagen thing is actually listed in their trivia section on Loader's page so I guess this was already know by them but then again I don't know when that was updated since I've never seen that note until today, either way it has not been documented on a news site like here and TFwiki seems to be the only place that has make note it.)
