iTunes Preview for IDW Transformers: Lost Light #21

Posted by Va'al Jul 19, 2018 at 2:56pm CDT 13,690 views
Also from IDW Publishing and the iTunes preorder page for the issue, we have a three page preview for the upcoming issue of the Transformers ongoing series Lost Light #21- featuring the continuation of the beginning of the end for this series, as we prepare to get more answers to all the questions asked so far. Check it out, and let us know what you think!

Something is coming. It cannot be stalled. It cannot be avoided. It cannot be reasoned with. As the end of everything draws near, a simple instruction rings out across the universe: prepare, confront, repel. Some people are ready for the fight of their lives. Rodimus and the increasingly shambolic crew of the Lost Light...yeah, they’re really not. Like, at all.

"It's called a Geobomb."

Every red flag just went up. All of them. I'm so (not) ready!

The end is nigh, well at least they get to finish it in their terms

That panel of everyone on the bridge is something I really wanted from day one. Autobots and Decepticons on one ship as one crew. I was very bummed when not one con joined the crew since the war was technically over at the start. I was hoping that would ave happened, especially since RID had some working together

That geobomb is either going to kill every single one of them, or somehow save them. My money’s on it being another geobomb that’ll send them back to the Functionist universe or something.

That "You're intimidating!" line got me. Personally, I've been digging the return of the old Ultra Magnus.

I think he's just running to the ship like the others. It's a faux panel break, not like his own panel where he's hiding something.

Anyone else starting to think this "Grand architect" is really just a revived Pharma. Pharma had his head blown off and his hands remove. Although Pharma did get his hands back he could be having them replaced. And the vocal synthesizer could be explained through it needing to be retuned to match his original voice. Hope this makes some sense. Oh and Pharma was leading the worldsweeps and sparkeaters in drifts vision.

I dont think so. The grand architect is on a higher level than Tyrest and Pharma was below Tyrest so it would be a huge step up for him.

Stranger things have happened in this comic series so I still wouldn't be surprised if it was Pharma. Maybe he was rebuilt by someone or thing on Mederi. I know the Knight are dead in all, or supposedly but their bodies and technology should still be on the planet. Maybe they used said tech to build pharma into something else. Either that, or the Grand Architect is just a crazed Knight of Cybertron who wants to rule the universe.

Part of me thinks it is, but would the timing work out? We first saw the Grand Architect rescuing Flame and Scorponok after they fled from the DJD, which was right around the time of LSoTW. Pharma was still on Delphi at the time.

We don't know exactly how long Scorponok and Flame were floating in space before being collected, but it seems unlikely that they were stuck out there until after Pharma was pulled to Mederi (or wherever), particularly where Flywheels was rescued while the war was still going.

Well, tentacle people pulled him through the gate, so...

Maybe he saw something there and learned something that stepped him up?

Or maybe he's a puppet of that entity?

With Pharma being a doctor and the whole Mederi planet thing being Cybertopia, I think it's a decent theory.

The grand architect has been around for at least 500 years because he was hiring black smiths around the galaxy. We know Pharma is coming back in some capacity. Perhaps he takes possession of Pharmas lifeless body.

Does seem weird he hasn’t shown up yet in this story and it’s flame building a body...

I do follow the theory that it's pharma's body at least but not necessarily his spark unless it was his spark and pharma only pretended to follow him before

It’s someone from Transformers lore that’s for sure. I don’t think it’s a new creation. Being a new character this far in would seem kind of bland.

Things from fiction that I could see as the Grand Architect is maybe something like Devil Z or hell how about the Vok?! No one has touched them since 3H they were energy beings that were architects in their own way.

I'm only like 50 pages into Eugenesis but it already has Quints ready to throw some brains into Cybertronian bodies. I'm gonna guess Pharma's body, some Quintesson leader's mind.

I’m not putting too much in the tentacles. Those tentacles were drawn the same way as the ones that were attacking Rodimus and Cyclonus in death of Optimus Prime.

"The Grand Architect" is a pretty Quintesson sounding name.
