Linsay Rousseau wrote:I wish I knew. It was supposed to be June but due to the quarantine they didn’t finish the foreign dubs for the show. They are working on those now. Netflix is requiring that all foreign dubs be completed so the show can be launched in all languages at once. So this is in the hands of Netflix and Rooster Teeth

I'm glad they posted this screenshot. With this look, Elita cannot be a simple repaint of the Chromia mold. We must be getting something at least partly new.Sabrblade wrote:Say, does that "cape" of Elita's remind anyone else of her BotCon toy that was a redeco of Cybertron Thunderblast?

If they can make a squid monster out of moonracer they can probably make a jet out of Chromia. Her back kibble are her wheels. It wouldn’t take much honestly

What haven’t they done? They canned a bunch of them, two of the founders Joel Hayman was let go and last week Burnie Burns resigned and left the company. They’ve been falling apart ever since they sold the company to full screen who in turn got sold and if now owned by time warner. There’s rumors they might be shut down and absorbed into Cartoon Network

The entire company has been on a downward spiral of mismanagement, petty politics, internal drama and generally been falling apart like a leper dancing around.

I don't either, I just copied the link. I'm able to see a couple of posts without actually signing up or being a member.
I saw it on Comodim Cam's Youtube channel first, which He (and I, and many others) thought was hilarious since this came out just 2 hours after he posted a video asking if any of the parties involved even cared because no news had come forth since the trailer a couple months ago.

As bad as the Prime Wars Trilogy was, many would argue that there was one thing enjoyable about it (at least for the first two series since the third one ruined this thing's enjoyability): Jason Marnocha's snarky Megatron.o.supreme wrote:If it is competent, and enjoyable on any level (unlike Prime Wars). You know Joel was like being an A-hole right? Him leaving was much needed even if he voices Caboose.
Burnie had a child recently and nobody stays at a company forever, neither does a company or anything stay around forever.
This is a bunch of negative misunderstanding of what's actually happening, RT is fine and their doing quite well.
Skritz wrote:

Except that their stuff is perfectly fine.
RT isn't the main people working on the show anyways so that point is kinda moot, it's the same people who worked on Prime Wars overall.
How about wait until the show comes out one way or another? This world wide negative reaction to anything that hasn't come out yet is so exhausting, makes being part of fandoms legit mentally draining.

I just hope this show gives him that same opportunity, though hopefully he doesn't carry this show by himself like he did the last trilogy

I think its dumb that the show is seemingly locked behind dubbing? They can release it in whatever languages they have now and add more later. But its netflix, im hardly surprised. Theyve had season 1 of attack on titan on there since it came out and havnt added anything, let alone a dub. They like having all their eggs in one basket and its just a bad practice

They're stuff being fine is subjective to personal tastes.

But is saying something like "Ah it's from Rooster Teeth it's gonna suck" isn't helpful.
Same with spreading misinformation about what's been happening with RT, there is some changes happening but that doesn't mean RT is going downhill or something.
When's the last time anyone hasn't said something is going to be bad before release? That's like every reaction to almost everything in the last several years, can't think of anything Transformers related anyways since most people jump on the hate bandwagon.

Still while those fan designs aren't real, the idea could work as rapid fire comedy shorts to supplement a more longer cartoon. Sort of like a 3 minute gag at the end of a 25 minute episode. Something that's there if people want to engage with or just skip if they want to. Basically it'd be harmless

I think the fan reaction to Thundercats ROAR! would disagree. Not everyone finds that kind of adaptation bastardising of the source material amusing.
The one thing that did intrigue me is the roster mix of that first picture. Other than the Token Fem-Bot, it seemed a blend with potential.

That makes sense. Still this kind of roster is how I've said for years HasTak should mix up the "Evergreen" formula every once and a while.
A Mini-Vehicle, Headmaster, Sharkticon, secondary Dinobot, Pretender and Green Arcee. No Primes, no bees, no Megs or Seekers. For something rooted in G1 that seems to be thought of as a risky concept. Which is just bizarre

ZeroWolf wrote:Ah but thunder cats Roar was the only new Thunder Cats material since the 2011, in my version, it's a 3 minute after credit joke of a more traditionally aimed series. Like if Teen Titans Go! Was shorter and came after the credits of the normal teen Titans cartoon (excluding the first part of two patters)
Just goes to show something like that doesn't fly even if the series has been in hiatus prior. As I've said before, Transformers at it's core is rooted in war. Trying to make light of that seems completely tone deaf.. Which is why I thought latter IDWverse was so off the mark.

Netflix have been on social media today to announce the long awaited date we can watch this highly anticipated cartoon.
July 30th
Accompanying the announcement was a new thirty second teaser showing Megatron announcing that this is the day the Autobots will be destroyed. You can check the video at the links, or embedded below.

Nope, not my thing, we can agree to disagree on that one. Tried so really hard to watch it, couldn't get into it. Unless this Netflix show really impresses, I still stand by my sentiments that Predacons Rising was the last good bit of TF Animaiton released.

it gets really good once you are past the first season. also gets REALLY dark in a lot of places. Lots of on screen deaths, and not just background characters either, named characters get taken out frequently. What finally sold me on the series was Hot Rod. in the third season they REALLY did him justice. You can actually see this Hot Rod becoming Rodimus Prime and actually being a good leader. sadly, all of this is sandwiched between more lighthearted filler episodes that if you didn't get into the first season, could ruin it for you.
back to the topic at hand, after seeing rooster teeth's more recent mecha anime, I do have high hopes for this show, regardless of what I think of the company or some of their other offerings. But Megatron... dang man... looks like he just needs some lipstick on those lips. might be a bit too JoJo for me.

I liked Predacons Rising / Beast Hunters / Transformers Prime. It wasn't perfect, but it still seemed pretty awesome to me. There were some limitations with the animation and Peter Cullen's Optimus Prime is way overdone (but that fault lies on the writers and/or directors). It was the last Transformers show that I tuned into as soon as I could.
Beast Wars and Animated were the other two series that struck a cord with me. I still think Beast Wars is probably the best series overall, though the computer animation is really starting to show it's age.
