And NEVER in a figure (though it would be nice if they did start adding in something like this)

Magnetic hardpoints to swap weapons and equipment in and out easily?

That's all I can think of so far.

War Within.

Though it wasn't a feature used by any particular TF in the book, but it will be more of a "feature" for Hecatomb.

Well, safe to say I'm wrong, but for future reference, a "hardpoint" is any place you can mount a weapon, piece of equipment, etc. onto a vehicle - the RL equivalent of TF's Powerlinx Ports I guess.

The idea then would be to attach Niobium Magnets or something else of decent strength to various parts of Hecatomb's body, and work up a large array of different weapons and gear with metal bits or magnets so that you could swap them out easily.

I thought long ago that Armada would have been more well received if they had done something like that. Put metal plates on the TFs instead of the eye-sore minicon pegs, and put magnets in the minicons. But then I don't know how that could activate a gimmick...

If attached inside the body though the magnets would still work through the plastic wouldn't they?

Might make for an interesting experiment on another 'bash down the track. :-?

bleh bleh bleh.

Lack of time. Lack of money. Lack of parts. All tend to slow things down.

But I did finish off another set of weapons, this particular set can be removed from the turret and attached to the arm for use in robot mode.

Plus you can see the first part of the chains I also intend to add.

So, can we guess what it's made up from? ;;)

(oh and thanks to the camera being a git today I ended up taking the pictures in the damn kitchen)

The lego pieces are the new piping and the three antennas, those are obvious though. I want to know about the gun.

So far, 2/3.

Front part are from a Chaos Land Raider, don't worry, I didn't butcher it, I bought the guns seperately. The side covering is from a Shield Lieger.

That just leaves the back half with the engines ...

Just a little update to show off the chains and severed trophy heads.

All of which is UNPAINTED and will be painted probably next weekend so don't harp on about how it doesn't look dirty because I already know that!

Robot mode pic anyone?

Let me point out though that again, still unfinished. I need to fill in some gaps on the shield.

I also (still) need to dirty things up. But you can see his new bot mode weapons and how he wields them.
