What happened to the Minicons?

There used to be a button for purchasing a Mini-con. Have they been taken out? :???:

the button has, minicons haven't, the minicon shop still exists, and winning quint missions still restocks it.

Do we know why the Minicon button was removed? With Minicons still available not having an in game link to them just seems to make navigation harder.
