Never saw him the first time. Didn't take any chances and pre-ordered through BBTS and he is on his way.

I'm undecided if I want to collect the SS86 Devastator and want to know if the build quality is really that much of an improvement. Thanks in advance!
Of course the build quality is much improved with the SS86. UW Devy is just the regular Hasbro one with an "upgrade kit". The original Titan Devy is just an amalgam of empty tupperwares snapped together. Light, hollow, and soft. Like, Authentic level.
The new SS86 will be much, much more expensive than the old titan overall, but you'll have your money's worth. Those will be at least "real" Transformers. With the quality you can expect from regular Generations toys.
So, instead of paying the absurd after-market price of the UW, you're better off with the SS86. If you already have it, keep it. The UW/CW Titan is still not so bad for its original price, and it would be a nice comparison with the SS86. Plus, it can be useful for remaking iconic moment when Devy is depicted grossly out of scale with the rest of the crew. Especially if you use Core/Legends scale figure with it.
If you don't have the old titan, no matter the version, get the SS86. If you're made of money, get both.
I already owned the unite Warriors version of Devastator. I would really like to hear from someone who owns both the unite Warriors version and the ss86 version. A lot of reviewers compare the two focusing on proportions and articulation, but seem to gloss over actual build quality.

I have the UW set and I'm buying the SS86 Constructicons too. I'll be honest, the SS86 figures are just scaled down versions of the UW release. If you have the UW version you really don't need the SS86 ones.

I am sorry, but this is not accurate. Hook is probably closest to the CW/UW version as far as molding and transformation, but every figure is new with different transformation schemes, detailing, etc., not to mention this Devy actually scales properly for CHUG collections. Long Haul and Mixmaster are completely different compared to CW/UW, and the rest have varying percentages of differences. The build quality is also FAR superior to CW/UW. The primary reason there are similarities is due to the same designer working on both figures, so he took some of the ideas from the CW/UW version and applied them to the new figure.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:I disagree. Devastator should be bigger, the UW version doesn't have a whole extra trailer that is necessary for combination, and they all came at once. I will agree 100% with your views on Mixmaster. I'm glad they got him right.

You can clearly see that there are 5mm pegs where they were. Doesn't sound horrible, but I'd say you can leave them on if prefered.

It's not that clear, as I didn't see it in the solicitation pics. Kinda disappointing.

Actually, Thundercracker is getting released first in Studio Series:
No date, line or venue for a Starscream yet though. Or whether it will include coronation gear or not.

And Skywarp was already leaked as being part of a later 2026 wave. It's Starscream this time around that we don't know about.

Technically, he would be a repaint of Thundercracker.Emerje wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:Starscream is part of the TF:TM Target exclusive anniversary line.
That whole line appears to be just repaints of existing figures. Even 86 Megatron is in it. I doubt that's our only Starscream.
