Ironhidensh wrote:TR Galvatron was the very worst of all TR figures (my opinion, please dont tell me now wrong I am), so that automatically makes this figure full of fail. Kinda sucks as I like the general looks, but a bad mold is a bad mold, and you can't save it with a face lift.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:On topic, thinking of BW Second and its weird mish-mash of lines, is Megastorm a possibility for ‘Titan Class’ Selects? It wouldn’t take much to retool Generations Trypticon, after all.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:To be fair, Trypticon generally retails as the cheapest of the Titan Class now. So if they didn't Overcharge for him ala Masterpiece, I don't think they would have the same push back as with Grand. The pricing of which was a bad idea on their part to begin with.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Indeed. They really don't think practically or logically when it comes to pricing the line as a whole. Not every fan cares about every character, therefore not every figure is worth a set value.
EG. I like the Four default City Bots. I had no interest at all in any of the redecos.
Grand was never going to sell under those conditions. He isn't popular enough No Matter The Cost ala MP-44 or had arbitrary goal posts, that were "moved" when genuine competition presented itself ala HasLab Unicron.
Black Hat wrote:Hmm. Something looks kinda off about him proportionally. But I do like him- also he doesn't seem to be a Headmaster anymore, and considering that was the greatest flaw with TR Galvatron, I'd say that's an improvement.
Now, show us Armada Prime.
You're pointing fingers at the wrong culprits with this one. The toys had the same issue with the names, so Takara is to blame for this one, not Toei for simply having to stick with what was mandated by the toys in order to advertise said toys. Blame the toys, not the show.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:there's the kerfuffle of Scorponok's Japanese names (where, in an obvious clash of someone who wanted to use the "Scorponok" name and someone who wanted to have "Zarak" and "Megazarak" to parallel "Fortress" and "Fortress Maximus", the "Megazarak" got used for the big scorpoion-bot transtector but the guy who formed the head and isn't a scorpion got named "Scorponok"),

Hasbro had no hand in this figure, just like Star Convoy and the Seacons.-Kanrabat- wrote:Will this be a Takara exclusive or will it find itself at Toys R Us and such at some point?

Erh.....
Look like it's going to be a pass.
I'm not feeling paying 100$+ for a standard Voyager.
