I know about the "combining gimmick" even if the end result will surely look daff. What I meant is those bits clearly looks like Scorponok's shield part.

Whomever mentioned the Core Class Sari, is brilliant. We're getting Spike, probably get a Daniel, but why not get a Sari too. Sure we're going for G1 characters lately, but out of all the other animated series, Sari was one of the best characters they created, plus she's part cybertronian. It should be a no brainer.

Yes: Human.

She did have a scooter as I recall that transformed to give her a jet pack, so a bike mode could be used, or as others mentioned a jet mode. Maybe they could even get creative with it.

Actually, what they could do is have a figure with a scooter that doubles as a jet pack and then the two combine into the jet mode. It would be very Micronauts.

That Iguanus looks really good for a small lad, I'm definitely getting one

Seeing a lot of people mention a core class sari, and I don't know if this is allowed on toys discussion, but I made a 3d printable figure of her with the files free on thingiverse, just search "sari." not hoping to like, derail the topic, but there is an option even if it's not totally cartoon accurate. I took some liberties, tried to make her look more like a g1 character, gave her stompy robot boots...

Iguanus looks amazing, I will gladly get him. That is a neat figure. And I like the bike mode, that is fun looking.

I also want a core class Sari. She is long overdue a toy

As much as I'd like Black Convoy, I fear he'll be hard to get being a U.S Walmart Exclusive. Unless Amazon.mx manages to get some over here (like they did with the Headmasters and OG BW figures), he'll probably be impossibly expensive to get on the secondary market.

We thank fellow Seibertornian Sol Magnus for letting us know of a new video review featuring the upcoming Transformers Legacy leader Laser Optimus Prime (G2 Prime). Comparisons to the Earthrise Optimus Prime toy show how only some pieces have been reused. However, it happens to be the same leg pieces from Earthrise Prime that included vestigial flaps from the Siege Optimus mold. You can also see a nice shot of Lazer Prime with G2 Megatron. These images come from the Prime vs Prime review.

Wait, is Laser Prime's Matrix a different mold too? It looks a bit taller than ER Prime's

Looks pretty nice and seems much more worth the money than ER/K Leader Optimus. But I think I'll go with the family and wait for the inevitable Select Scourge/Nemesis.

Confirmed what I thought all along. Shoulders are locked in place by transformation piece. That makes him an easy pass.

And I was hoping I was wrong. I wanted to want him bad.

Yes, it's a different mold

Uh ... G2 Laser Prime is an all-timer. It's a mold that advanced articulation, but it didn't stop there. It had one of the most well executed light up gimmicks of all time, light piped eyes, working headlights and trailer that was a mobile arsenal with three different types of projectiles.
In other words, it was a toy that went above and beyond.

This just seems to be treading water. Instead of working missiles, we get panels on the shoulders that move up to reveal some clear plastic bits. No rifle, but a dumb looking shield thing. Kind of limited articulation in the shoulders and an overly complicated transformation.

I don't know, I was looking forward to this, especially after they hit it out of the park with stuff like Rodimus last year. Now I'm just a little disappointed.

I'll stick with G2 and TR. I might consider a toxitron repaint but the shoulder would need replacing some how so it is likely a pass at leader+ pricing.

Ok, is the shoulder pylon fixed in place, or the whole shoulder? I see rotational joints, plus a panel that flips up.

I think the shoulder pylon is fixed. The shoulder itself looks like it is made up of 2 rotating joints, with the part connected to the torso allowing the arm to swing forward and back, and the second joint allowing the arm to move outward away from the body. If that is correct, the fixed should pylon will limit the range of motion somewhat, and I suspect that is the reason for the flaps, to at least allow the arm to be positioned straight forward.

Thanks to a heads up from Seibertronian D_Maximal Primal, we have word of a Twitter account (@QueenStodge) posting a picture of the first Wave of Legacy Voyager Class figures at retail in France. This marks the first worldwide sighting of this highly anticipated line. No word on whether or not any other figures in the line were sighted at the same store.
