As for Takara, they let another company do a Rodimus Prime for them already (in the cloud line), so they technically already have a voyager Rodimus Prime.

the cloud really can't be described as "generations" seeing as how it is an uber expensive special figure, and he was talking modern toy, not the original one

I really LOVE Titanium Rodimus Prime. Even if the robot look ackward from the side, the vehicle is great, have weapon storage, the transformation is simple and fun, plus all that diecast and paint really make it feel premium. Too bad it dosent scale with anything.

Aside from G1 you also have Cloud Rodimus, which was an exclusive Japanese figure:



As you can tell, he was very popular since he was both the right size and had the right spikier look for an MTMTE Rodimus. And his wavemate in that Cloud Line was Shockwave (from Gen Whirl). The reason I mention that is because in one swoop, that line gave us a Gen Voyager Shockwave and a Voyager Rodimus, 2 characters in the scale everyone is asking for.



That said, I really wonder how Hasbro could improve on a Generations Rodimus Prime figure which would make it a better fit than just using the MP Hot Rodimus figure. The alt mode I guess? But do we want that G1 winebago?

You guys got him cheap in the US (he was on sale a bunch) but he was a blink and you'll miss it kind of guy in Canada. Now I have all 3 seekers in that new Gen Leader Scale. It makes for a pretty bad ass Decepticon Roster (pics coming later).

Transformers Gum DX Gattai set arrived and it is easily one the best candy toy sets I own, maybe even better than Fortress Maximus.

So far I've only done God Ginrai and he's such a nice little kit. Not only did they do a great job of capturing the original figure at small scale (minus the smaller Ginrai, Godmaster, and base mode). They even improved on a few things like giving him elbows!

They also painted a few parts on this kit like the face plate (but not the eyes) and the Godmaster (though it's more like an undercoat for the stickers).

God Bomber even has elbows as well and for some reason he also has a twisting neck. His face and missile as well as the T-bar for attaching to Ginrai are all painted.

And the alt mode just looks fantastic though I do wish they included another sticker for the middle section.

I really hope the make more of these DX sets, it's nice to seem Kabaya going all out on these.

Been making some slight changes to Titans Hot Rod cos it bugs me a bit. Like the shoulder joints seem too high and too far away from the body so been snipping and filing down the underneath bits of those joints where it was stopping them push down any further. I like it more now. Wondering if the top of the chest in front of the head can be cut open to keep his head on when transforming very much like how some folks have cut a similar hole in Blurr's shield to allow the same.

Quick question for those that have received a pile of loot shipment recently from BBTS: did it take a long time for them to ship it? I asked them to send my POL on Monday morning. By Tuesday morning, it was in their warehouse. As of now, it's still in the warehouse. I was hoping to receive it this weekend but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.

New metallic "DX" release with painted parts. Normally I'm not a big fan of metallic red or blue or whatever, but it's pretty mild aside from the silver plastic. I do wish the red and blue was darker. I was on the fence about getting this set at first, but when I found out they didn't require partsforming to transform like most Transformers candy toys and all of the parts were bundled in each set (7 unique bots, 14 total in a case) I was sold.

I honestly didn't have any interest in the Coneheads because they were going to be so damn expensive.

BUT ... Premium Collectables teamed up with Zippay meaning I can pay things off over a few months at a small cost (wow I sound like a salesman) so when Thrust went on pre-order I took advantage of it.

Unfortunately Ramjet came before. So while I pretty much NEED a Ramjet, I know I'm going to have to be very VERY patient.

Even without him though ... Thrust feels ... cheap. Ironhide and Ratchet have spoiled me this year.
