IDW has update their New Releases Section with the releases that will be available on March 14, 2007. Include with the March 14th release is the Transformers Beast Wars: The Gathering Manga TPB. Correct me if I'm wrong, but basically it is the same story and art except it is in black and white and I assume read from back to front?

Doesn't even Photoshop have filters that would render the pictures to more of a lineart quality? I'm sure a graphics publishing company like IDW would have better equipment at their disposal than simply Photoshop.
It doesn't look so much like a manga as it does just a black & white version of the original comic book. If I wanted that, I could just grayscale filter the pages on my computer.
An even better idea would be to save copies of the inked pages and reprint a lineart version of the comic as a manga. Surely by now, they should know enough to expect to have a manga printed of the comics.

Well, I didn't catch the originals, and I love Manga, so I'll probably get that.
Of course, it isn't true manga, since the text bubbles are still left-to-right.

Still due on the 28th. Just an early preview (probably to go with the review that Fractal Matter had.)
Considering some manga originating in Japan is published in Western print order and even in English, this seems a particularly odd criteria.
