That Jazz is a work of art. But 120$CAN is a bit much. He'll be on sale soon enough.

Well, with Prime 44 being yet another over priced and extremely flawed MP figure, it is starting to look like my collecting of “official” figures has come to an end.

I’m still getting Hound and MPM Jazz, but along with 44, I canceled my preorders for Bee45 and Blackarachnia. There have been too many issues lately for me to take the chance without seeing reviews first. I have no interest in Lio Convoy. I sold off Dinobot and BW Megatron, and actually made a profit, so that’s nice. It’s also part of the problem since as long as these figures are bought, Takara will see no need or incentive to improve quality. Thank good for the 3rd party market making them look like trash.


I’ll never say never, as we all know things can and do turn around, but it’s not looking great at the moment. I will be very interested in seeing the next MP figure to be made, as the right character can always override good sense (another part of the problem ).

I suggest retail stuff. Waaaaay cheaper than MPs, and even 3Ps, and less likely to have some catastrophic error.

He looks awesome, i will be getting him, i am passing on Megs, he is waaaay too big compared to the onscreen appearance.

Seriously, very low monetary risks with local regular stuff and an easy fix if problems arise.

Did anyone have MP45 pre-ordered on HasbroPulse and notice it's disappeared? I could have sworn I pre-ordered it there, but now I can find no evidence of it even being on the site. Am I mistaken and just misremebering this?

Doesn't that make sense though? This is the version with only 1 casette. Soundave isn't that complex a bot.

Also (in the eyes of a friend of mine, at least) he is one of the best MP's ever made. So reissuing him, is certainly no bad thing.

Would you make the same complaint about the really big Cyberverse toys that also tower over MP Hound?

I'm also pretty sure there's more parts in Hound than Soundwave.

On a side note, I noticed that the older "outdated" MPs don't go down in price. Maybe for some used ones that people want to get rid of, but for brand new MPs, the old ones keep their value. Or even increase in value still!
Despite MP-10 being out for around 8 years already, and MP-44 arriving on the market, MP-01 is still worth a hefty sum.

MP-01 is still my favorite MP Optimus Prime ever. So imposing, and he have PRESENCE.

BTW, the axe for my MP-10 won't fit on his hand anymore, The rubbery plastic have warped somehow and it won't fit his fist anymore.

Number 2 on my masterpiece list. The Hasbro release was toy of the year when it was released.

the couple in there that I like include Action Master Thundercracker and Marvel G1 Megatron, they both look pretty good

Slicer and Spin-Out (red Sunstreaker) are each a must.

Having MP-44 in original toy colors don't make much sense. Especially on a cartoon accurate mold. But on MP-10, it would be perfect. There's not even a Reprolabels set for this even now! That's a bit baffling.

So..... MP & MPM lines....... who will be next? I’ve no clue on the MP front, with as much as Takara has started to jump around, but I think the next MPM will be a Prime, either from the last two Bay movies, or the Bumblebee movie.

After Hound? Could be anyone from Jazz to Powerglide to Kup... So many characters in the original series.

I feel Hoist and Trailbreaker will get made relatively soon. They were mentioned in an interview, and there's a fairly cartoony EarthRise Hoist coming up early next year. Maybe it's a demo or maybe he was even "simplified" from blueprints that they already have for an MP version.

After the new Bee mold, Cliffjumper's probably not far behind with his similar transformation and looks. Assuming they acquired the licensing.

I’m hoping they finish Movie 1 Autobots and give us Ratchet. Although I’m not expecting too many more Decepticons aside from Starscream, but who knows.

I also really really want an MPM Sideswipe, he would look soooooo good next to all the rest. He’s always been one of my favorite designs.

From what I can see there's nothing there. But I do remember that rumour, and the discussion on how much we'll be charged for the privilege

Rattrap is the smallest bot in Beast Wars. Given the ridiculous overpricing of Blackarachnia (and those that weirdly defended it) who should have been his equal in height, it will be interesting to see how much he is valued by HasTak. Especially in light of [Transclearant] Burning Convoy being the same price as default MP Primal, a bigger figure.

It took me a while to notice what I'd done. Clearly seen one too many Emgo reviews lately

All things considered, we are due for a MPM Starscream.

On that repaint bit, I'm pretty much done with MPs, but if they crank out old school Diaclone decos, and the mold is cool, I'll still bite on those.
Even with Cordon, I'd definitely go for a Redstreaker.

Buying those Wolfang/Cybershark/Jetstorm variants has really tapped into my interest in redecos. Ripping out the pointless electronics and stands IE Hopefully lowering the base price, BW MP Grimlock and T-Wrecks would be really cool additions next year, alongside Shadow Panther and Burning Convoy.
