Also, where are you seeing information about a 6th figure?

there's info on the Botcon 2016 thread!

Anyway, the letter states...
First, a reminder about some package details. If you register as a Primus package holder, you will receive not just the 5 figure boxed set, but also a FREE additional Deluxe figure. We are excited to announce that this figure utilizes the Combiner Wars tooling and also features a NEW head sculpt that does not appear on any other souvenirs.
So... It appears that this will be in fact some sort of CW figure, but you would think a 6th member of the Predacus combiner would be a Legends class (not deluxe), since they already have 4 Deluxe limbs. So I am thinking this may just be some other random figure...unless I am missing additional details?

Gah! Why is it that everywhere only has onslaught for Preorder except for in a 2-pack with Scattershot, whom I'm passing on in favor of the Computron box set

Not sure I understand... the site that was referenced has Onslaught by himself, or an option to purchase with Skylynx. If you don't want Scattershot, I would think this would be the best scenario?

I can find Onslaught by himself, but he's up for preorder, not in stock. the 2-packs with Scattershot are in stock orders. I'm trying to find an Onslaught for sale by himself in stock, that's the reason for the post since I scored the limbs and want the torso but can't buy him this instant

They're showing up in stores as well. I found a bunch of them at Walmart the other day.

Like I said, I think the Hasbro version of Blastoff looks better than the UW version. The only thing I think they should've done instead though is used Fireflight's head instead of Quickslinger's since it works better for Blastoff.

Oh btw I personally still like Optibotimus and am not mad at him for what a lot of people are mad at him about right now. Yes he did a couple stupid things, but I know where he's coming from. Just sayin.
Anyhow I am actually loving the look of this G2 Superion, and am actually really wanting to just forget about some other combiners like Defensor to get this guy, since I do not have the original CW Arielbots. I may only be able to get 2 normal CW combiners but this guy is definitely high on my list if picks.

It's kinda a long story but basically he pranked his fans and told them they'd have to pay to see his Transformers reviews from now on, and a few other things that made his fans mad. Go to johngarringerful's channel to see the details. Anyhow is this forum about Optibotimus or Combiner Wars? I forgot.

Geeze oh man, still can't believe people took that literally. Humans always fail me.
And don't give up on some of the other combiners Silly. they are all still really good. Defensor remains my favorite, so don't count him out. Rook is also my favorite mold of the entire line, so check it out!

There is a difference between not wanting all of the figures, and not being able to afford them. I just cannot afford them. I only get the ones that actually stick out to me. Devastator was always my favorite combiner and I want the best version, and the G2 Superion deco just looks way to amazing on the CW Superion molds. I have been wanting to get Superion, and this is a perfect way for me to do just that.

Edit: Unlike how a lot of TF collectors seem to act, I think more about my TF purchases. If it is a choice between getting all of the CW combiners, or getting the TR Fort Max and other TR figures, I always want to think carefully. I hate to sell figures.

Believe me kid I know. I have only had a consistent job for 2 years now, so I wasn't really able to get all I wanted for a while. But I'm still telling ya to at least look out for Rook or any protectobot. They are all worth your time, limited budget as it comes. Plus: you can always make your custom combiner. no need to stay with the teams

I can second that. I however am wanting to get the Swindle version. Maybe I'll get only one deluxe from a team? When I have two deluxes with matching hand pieces I usually wanna get at least two more that have matching colored feet, but if ALL of the hands and feet are random colors than that might work... hmm. Dragstrip means purple, Swindle would have grey, a protectobot would have black, and an Ark Bot would have silver. I probably wouldn't get any Arielbot limbs until I hopefully get G2 Superion, but that's a whole nother story.

Yeah, he rocks in leg mode, the arm mode always felt so cluttered with his arms and floppy rotor assembly crowding up his upper arm

Yes I like to assign specific combinations like that names, just like in the Japanese fiction (and like other giant robot anime)

I bend the arms up and put the ends of the rotors into the fists. It captures them nicely.

I personally feel that that's what's needed in a line like this to enable the justification of scrambling - give it a purpose, like enabling different 'super powers', definitely what's best for it.

I agree, or show a tactical side to scrambling, like in the comics show that if the arm gets damaged someone else could jack in to replace the arm.
Rook however benefits from my head cannon, as he can turn his hulk fists into rocket punches!
Plus I assigned Alpha Bravo the role of sniper, silently hovering till the perfect shot appears...then he takes it..

I think the Copter mold is one of the best appendage bots, top or bottom. Love the tail fin as a knee cap, and as a shoulder fin. Plus the proportions just loo good in either. I fold the arms up and over like Ag showed, but haven't tried putting the blades in his fists. I'll have to try that.Hellscream9999 wrote:william-james88 wrote:ZeroWolf wrote:I know what it's like silly springer, I only have four deluxes from CW and no torsosmoney has not been kind to my family with one bill after the next requiring our attention. I have a tough time with the dead-end/streetwise mold as a leg. I hate having that overlip decend and see the car innerds, it clashes with the rest of the limbs since it is right there in your face. I usually flip that car front up to make some kind of kneepad instead but it doesnt look as good as Offroad or First Aid which are awesome legs.

Yeah same here. I think maybe two Stunticons and two Protectobots would suit Galvatronus just fine. (I have been wanting Blades, and I have been dying to get Streetwise mostly because of the comic book he comes with which contains art from Corin Howell who is the best comic artist ever!) I kinda wanna either get Offroad if available for my other Stunticon, or Breakdown as my backup. With all the hate Breakdown is getting I sure do like how he LOOKS.

See, I never liked the look of the car hood flipped down either, which is why Breakdown is an arm, and I love the kneepads, and while the deadend mold doesn't do as good a job as the offroad mold, it still works. and because the kneepad design for the offroad mold is so good, it doesn't make that good an arm for me. I never liked breakdown or dead-end and brothers as legs b/c they're so flat and wide, it loses all sense of realistic proportions most of the other limbs provide (with possible exception of Rook as a leg... elephantine kneecap

Hmm there's an idea, the combiner gets a super weapon depending on who is attached as an arm, like Alpha Bravo would give an ultra sniper rifle in the form of a rail gun or firefly gives a colossal flame thrower

Wow I get mixed up between Mairghread Scott's art and Corin's. I'm stupid.
This is Corin Howell's art:

And this is Mairghread's art:

Both are amazing, (alpha) bravo to both of them.
I think it's mostly that, just like a lot of male Transformers artists have a similar style, these two female artists have a similar style to each-other too. Their art is just more fluid and not overly complex. Their art is less focused on how the cogs and stuff look and making sure everything is symmetrical, and more focused on the character. (And please do not say I am sexist because I am not, I was merely stating how IDW's male Transformers artists have a different style from the female artists, that's all. People are just too touchy these days.)
