That's great, but I'm still waiting for the shelf. Then again, I have the G1 in real good shape, so maybe I'll save my money and see if it goes on sale.

I just got mine in the mail! I was worried that TRU/Amazon might have left me in the dust because my Account still shows the item as preparing for shipping. I awoke the other day to find my credit card had been charged (though the TRU/Amazon account still said preparing for shipping) and bingo - the bad boy arrived today! I am thrilled with this. My only complaint is I wish they would have stuck with the same design packaging as the other COMM FIGS. Good luck and Happy Hunting!

Yeah, I was lucky enough to order a couple the 12 hours or so it was available, already have them both. Pretty awesome, especially the fact you get DECALS! My only thing is I want to know if his cannons are supposed to fire, because mine don't...There's a release button for his missiles on both, but I think they forgot to put the springs in there. Still fresh though

No, that's for the rather stupid US Child Saftey Laws. None of the US reissues have spring loaded launchers.

I got mine today. It looks fabulous. I'm glad I spent the extra $5 in shipping to guarantee one. I'll be stopping at TRU in an hour or so and if they have em stocked I might buy one to keep boxed. The boxing is definitely worth another one.

I'm getting pissed. I can't believe I missed it again. I missed the pre-order, and the re-stock. This is killing me. Plus the closest TRU is about a hr and a half away. UGHHH!!!!!

Yes. Well, there isn't a "Classics" Soundwave, but Commemorative Soundwave is released in Classics packaging.

i've ordered him about 3 times now.... each time my order has gotten cancelled

This is getting worse everyday. I watch TRU.com almost all day, find it in stock order it and then the next day it is cancelled. If anyone has a extra would they help me out.

I am still curious why the shipments were delayed by TRU in the first place. Was there any reason that was given?

Just went back to Toys R Us to get Jetfire that I saw there this weekend, and they had 4 Soundwaves! I bought 2, and I met a fellow fan there, who also bought 2. Finally! (I also got the Jetfire, and they had 1 more left.)

i have it too but my laserbeak has no rub sign on it is this normal? And in this version the rockets do not fire like in the takara versions!!!

It is normal for the missiles to not fire as a result of the Japanese springs present in the toy being removed to comply with American safety regulations.

I was initially dismayed at the price, but it appears it was a worthy investment, as I haven't seen him in stock yet elsewhere.

Yes. Only Ravage and Soundwave have rubs, on their respective shoulders in cat/robot modes. And all Ravages come with the Metroplex weakness sticker from Soundblaster and not the "tape" sticker.

I've just bought my Soundwave at TRU and I think it's normal for Laserbeak to not have the rub-sign too. I've got a couple questions for others who have their Soundwave though:

1 - Was anything missing out of your set? It seems to me there should have been 3 missiles, a pair of micro cassette cases for Laserbeak and Ravage, and some instructions. Only 1 missile was missing and I really don't need the cases (as the cassettes can store in Soundwave) or instructions (because I remember from having him as a kid how to transform the toy). It just seems odd that the plastic holding the stuff in place would be molded for 3 missiles and a couple cases if they weren't going to be included in the final product.

2 - Is this release of Soundwave Classics or G1CS? I've noticed that while the box art is Classics, the technical data is G1.

I had two jewel cases for the mini-cassettes. I also had 3 missiles all still on their runners from the molding machine. (I can do pics if needed.) Mine came with instructions and a sticker sheet. There's some pics I took of mine floating around here I think. I'll see if I can dig them up and edit them to this post.

I'm glad I finally got one off Ebay. All of the TRUs in my city and in all neighboring cities are sold out and they don't have anymore in the factory. I think Soundwave is at the end of his production run. If you don't have one already, you need to get one off Ebay before the scalpers decide to raise their prices.

I dunno. Wait it out, maybe? I had this problem getting Ricochet. If you live in the Mesa area here in Arizona, try the TRU on Power and the next stoplight south of Southern. They had 3 yesterday, not counting the one I've bought.

I can prove its in stores because I've got the receipt from buying mine. I've got no problem posting it (it's easy enough to scan the receipt and use the iChat camera to photograph the box, though the photos would end up backwards).

No need. I believe ya because the plastic that holds all the stuff in place while it's in package was molded for 3 missiles and a pair of jewel cases. While I am a bit miffed that some of the accessories weren't there, it's really not big enough a deal to make an issue of it. It was just the cases, 1 missile, the instructions and the sticker sheet were missing; if this were happening alot, it'd be different.
