Chuckdawg1999 is at it once again, bringing us a review of the Cyber Series Battalion Jetfire figures! Much like Prowl, this figure arrived unannounced and can only be found in a few countries. He is a repaint and slight retool of the previous Starscream figure. Check out Chuck's thoughts and review below!

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Jetfire is a repaint and retool of the previously released Starscream Batallion figure. With the history between the two characters, the irony isn't lost on me. The white paint with red trim is sharp, something lacking on most retail figures. While I would've liked new weapons, I understand that might have pushed the budget. While not as fun as Prowl, it's a solid figure.

When I last went to CityWalk at Universal Orlando, the main Universal Store had only the Deluxes in the newer packaging. But I bring this up because I was surprised to see any Transformers for sale in another store of the park (let alone a store located outside of the Universal Studios part of the park) that wasn't the Transformers: The Ride gift shop.

In a way, the store in CityWalk selling the Universal-exclusive TFs is good news for me since it means that A) I don't have to go to the more expensive Universal Studios part of the park to access a store that sells the TFs, and B) as a Florida resident, I can get free parking for CityWalk after 6pm if I show my ID ('course, it's only after 6pm, when most of the park's more family-oriented attractions are closing down for the evening).

This is big news since there are currently 0 other ways to get these toys unless you live in Taiwan.

Over at Sir Toys, they are selling Cyber Battalion Jetfire for $29.99 USD before shipping. They had Prowl too, but he is since sold out. While this store is known for its KO products, the store owner has claimed that these are legitimate. He has found them in Taiwan and is reselling them through his site.

I can get them here. (I took this pic).

I might still be able to get Starscream at another location. There's also KOs of the 1st wave so be careful, but I think the colours are different.

I've put the word in for more so hit the want-list system. Since they're real they're more expensive here for some reason so higher upfront cost means I can't stock too many. I just pick them up as people request and as they remain available.

That Cyber Commander Optimus Prime is the Wave 2 redeco, not the Wave 1 original. You can tell by the silver arms and grill, while the original has them red and blue respectively.

Are any of you still looking for the brand new Generations Cyber Battalion Prowl and even the previous Cyber Batalion figures that were never disributed at big box stores in the west? Well you can now get them for decent prices from the comfort of your own home. They have popped up at Transfan2's Shop'n Look, an online store which caters to Transformers fans. Prowl and the other Voyager size figures like Grimlock, Megatron and Starscream are 22.99, which is cheaper than the $30 price tag they have at Unviersal Studios. The Leader sized figures like Optimus and Bumblebee are $32.

Let us know if this helps!

Oh man, I live about 25 minutes from his brick and mortar store. I might have to run in and pick up that Prowl, because I love the sculpt.

Both product URLs link to Prowl's listing, jsyk. :P

Prowl actually looks pretty cool, to be honest. The blue's an interesting choice of color. And I like how similar Jetfire is to the G1 toy.

Prowl works for me, but Jetfire's link just takes me to a store page with no items. Looks like Jetfire is sold out.

I kinda want Prowl, but I really don't need him for $35.

Between Jetfire on ST the other day and now Prowl and OP here, got caught up again on these. Thanks for pointing this out! I've bought from TF2's shop several times online but still forget to check it regularly. Solid place and never had an issue with an order :)

Nah. One extra pin/pivot in the waist area to open up for a Devastator head needed, which could fit in the big empty cavity in the middle of him. Add some inner leg panels like Hook's and a couple more tabs and it'd be real close.

The Big Optimus seems to have been changed to homage the Movie Prime (with flames even) But I can't see any changes on Big-Bunmblebee.

Big Optimus looks nice in both deco's I can't pick between them really which I like more.

Thats because he isnt a new release, this distributor just got more of that older one since people wanted it.

I assume you intended to quote the part about Bee and scrub the part about Optimus rather than the opposite ?

But that does beg the question if Sirtoys simply got more of the old one and it's not a repaint (like Optimus) is there going to be a Bee repaint too ? I'm sure there was some rumour of a Battalion Skywarp I read somewhere or other sometime... I think having all 3 Seekers in the same mould would be a an encouragement for more people to get them all.

I won't hold my breath but that Grimlock would look decent in G1 or RID colours too.

I don't think Commander Bumblebee is getting a redeco, as the new wave is half the size of the first, for both size classes it seems. Although... It's entirely possible that the first Battalion wave was supposed to be split in two, like so:

1299 Optimus Prime
1300 Bumblebee
1301 Megatron

1793 Grimlock
1794 Starscream

Instead they all got released at the same time.

Fellow Seibertronian Rysquad has som pretty awesome news for us. Remember those Cyber Battalion figures, like the new Jetfire and Prowl that we were not going to get at retail in the US? Well, they have just been spotted at Wallgreens. And at a great price no less, the voyager sized Jetfire was obtained for $16.99 USD. A fan reported to Ben Yee from BWTF.com that he had found it in Rancho Cordova, California. As a refresher, images of these toys can be found below the sighting evidence. Happy hunting!

There's no "Universal Studios Exclusive" sticker on the box, which all TF toys sold at Universal Studios have.

Because if that was the case, it would be in their system. Plus its a different price from universal studios, where its doulbe the price there, so the listing is wallgreens specific.

This is cool news! It's interesting though because it's a rather large toy for Walgreens to stock. They usually don't stock anything larger than Deluxe in Transformers.

Except they do sell larger toys as well as the wingspan and cloudraker 2 pack wich is slightly smaller than a voyager box

And it's a WAY bigger toy.

Checked the only local Walgreens Friday and they had nothing (aside from two TR Triggerhappys and a ton of Kre-o blind bags). Hopefully I don't have to check the place too many times as this particular store is in a terrible location that's super hard to drive to being on a one way road off of a bridge requiring me to either come in from the other end of the city or make a huge circle around the store to get into it. It's so annoying! I really just want Prowl and either one of the big Prime's.

Just in case fans thought it was a fluke, we have growing reports of these simplified budget line Cyber Battalion figures. Like with every other toyline in the US, reports start in California and are slowly expanding from there, with reports found in Texas, Arizona and more. What is super fun though is that Jetfire and Prowl are not the only characters being found at the $16.99 price point. Fans have also found Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Hot Rod, a fan on our Facebook page even posted an image of Walgreen's databse which shows 6 different figures, so hopefully that means either Starscream, Megatron or Grimlock will be coming too. Another facebook page fan, Nel, posted an image of his Jetfire purchase comparing him to some previous Jetfires.

Let us know in both your respective state sightings thread and in the sightings section if you find any in your area.
