First Look at Transformers Naruto "project tails" Collab + Batman Collab Rumour

Motu crossover? I need a strydor transformer!

Awesome, and good timing since Toonami just finished up Shippuden. And Gamakichi has potential as a new Spittor, Diver, Goosher/Slapper, and heck, throw some car parts on him for a new Springload that's really bonkers!

Has there been a fox alt before? The closest I can recall is Jason Yeo's original design for Night Stalker. Sonic never seemed like a good TFxOver fit to me anyway, but reuse of this new Kurama tooling could open the door to an official Pokeformers crossover, and a truly infinite slew of fun and horror depending on how long it ended up lasting.

Of course, they could also pass it off as a new evolution of Moon caused by Angolmois energy. And pack it with that Artemis figure that wasn't included with MP LioConvoy...

Project Tails really was Naruto!? But I guess that franchise is also doing a TMNT crossover, so it's dipping it's toe into the crossover waters.

Actually, this may pair well with the Monster Hunter X-over. Kinda reminds me of Excellion with the forehead protector and general vibes. Too bad it's older Naruto and not the OG version - that's the one I like best.

A Sonic crossover sounds pretty cool. I guess it'll be Sonic with a robot mode? I'm interested, but I can't help but wonder at how it'll turn out.

Batman and MotU are ones high up on my want list. Especially if it's the Burton Batmobile. The tumbler would have me less excited. But I'm down for whatever. Batman's iconic.

Man, this is wild for me. Transformers, Naruto, and Batman are among my top five pieces of fiction, so this post feels like it was made for me.

Have no attachment to Naruto so, can totally skip this. My wallet breathes a sigh of relief.

We also have news from JTPrime that there will indeed be a Sonic/Transformers crossover, even though this was not the one, and there will also be a Batman crossover and a MOTU crossover. Can't wait to see that one.

He-Man and Batman though, now that's interesting.

If those two are in actual scale wouldn't that more likely be the Tigatron mold? Cheetor is kinda small, the difference in height wouldn't be so wide. I really do hope we see the Gamakichi mold used for again for one of the Beast Wars frogs. This set I'll probably get, depends on the alt modes. I like the head sculpt for Kurama/Kyubi/Nine Tails, hopefully the rest holds up.

For Sonic, I'm hoping they don't actually make Sonic transform. What I want is mini figures of sonic and Tails with Tail's plane that Transforms paired with a transforming version of one of Robotnik's bots.

For Batman I'd like to see either a transforming 89 or Animated Batmobile.

For MOTU I'm looking for a Transforming Battle Cat into Battle Cat-Man! There's been a lot of fan made versions, it's be nice to have an official one! Bonus points if they can make the bot mode look like an Origins figure.

Haven't seen Naruto since I was a kid but this is definitely interesting and somewhat tempting!

I agree with other comments that Sonic would be a hard crossover to pull off. Maybe hedgehog alt mode? If that was the case that would be cool, especially if it can ball up but that's a tall order

Batman could potentially be great. I have the mastermind creations Joker so a companion piece would be cool. I personally prefer Batman to be gray and black as opposed to all black or gray and blue

MoTU has so much potential. Brawn could be Man at Arms
SG Magnus is similarish to Skeletor
Battle Cat from Tigerhawk/Tigatron
Should be really cool

The size difference is odd, but those are definitely Cheetor's forearms, not Tigatron's.


They may be pulling a reverse Reactivate here, and changing the scale in the picture. so it looks larger.

I'd love to see them use that version. However, if they do, I have a feeling they'd end up reusing the Studio Series ROTF Megatron mold. Again.

Although, depending on how Legacy "Cybertron" Sideways will turn out, it may be a safe assumption to predict that it'd share a skeleton with him instead.

They did a great job on the box. Alt modes look really nice.

You know, we got Tazmanian Kid, but we never did get another from BWII at core class. Maybe we were meant to get (looks it up) Diver at some point. They made Lio Convoy. Maybe they wanted to make his whole crew.

That Naruto figure better have one heck of an awesome Alt mode. Because the robot mode is a kibble-laden cactus nightmare. I guess if you're a real fan of the franchise this will be a must-have. But it looks like a hard pass for me.

Ah, so in the article photo, Kurama's bot mode is mistransformed, should've known. Maybe the weight of all the tails makes it hard to lock the back kibble in place, but the box photos look awesome.

As for the fox, there is so much remolding that I'm seeing this more as a "new mold", meaning they aren't using bits from the actual cheetor or Tigatron mold. So it could be that they used the cad images for cheetor to then retool and make a new mold which may be upscaled. It's still based on Cheetor and not tigatron though, or else the pelvic area would look different.

Just made the connection that this was revealed on October 10, which is canonically Naruto’s birthday (and the day that the Nine Tails fox attacked the leaf village), making this extra fitting for today

As for the fox, there is so much remolding that I'm seeing this more as a "new mold", meaning they aren't using bits from the actual cheetor or Tigatron mold. So it could be that they used the cad images for cheetor to then retool and make a new mold which may be upscaled. It's still based on Cheetor and not tigatron though, or else the pelvic area would look different.

In box he does look more like a Deluxe, the difference in sizes is much closer in box and even on the back of the box than the initial image. But I agree, they've changed so much it's hard to say if there's any actual parts being shared. It's more like what we've seen in figures like Gigawat and Ectotron.

Maybe I'm imagining it, but doesn't the smaller mold have a lot of points of change in common with the recent Rattrap mold? Could this be a heavy retool of this as well?

Definitely based on Cheetor, the forearm is the tell. It has the part of the cheetah/fox belly on the side. Tigratron's arms get hidden inside the belly and don't have that flap. Also, based on the location and size of the voids or holes in the bottom of the forearm, I think that particular part is exactly from Cheetor. If they upscaled it, the holes may need to revised or enlarged so that the relative thickness of the part could remain the same, so the proportions would be a little differrent.

I'm guessing it will still be a deluxe (possibly a bigger deluxe) and will use a handful of parts from Cheetor. The forearms for sure and likely some of the structural intenal parts as well. Probably similar to crossover X-Panse using just a few items from SS Jetfire.

Easy pass.

Considering the single price of a deluxe (35/40$CAN) and for a core (17/20$CAN) 76$CAN is not too bad. Despite not caring about Naruto, I want that thing so I'll preorder.

A titan class USCSS Nostromo would be amazing.

The frogman could be a retooled into a good Legacy update for Diver. We've already got Tasmania Kid and Lio Convoy, so why not?

I wonder if Gamakichi was based off the core class Dinobot that never released? It's robot legs are the animal stomach. The animal legs are the robot arms. The animal arms fold to the back. The animal head folds forwards. It's the same general transformation scheme as 90's Dinobot.

The easiest way is first to upload to youtube, then post the link.

Maybe that crash landing made these Cybertronians have damaged memory circuits, so when they scanned Kurama and Gamakichi they thought they were those same characters instead of themselves. Like how Tigatron couldn't remember he was a Cybertronian and identified more with a real tiger.

That's gonna be my headcanon anyway.

I got my naruto set and got to enjoy it. They stand on my beast wars shelf now, but these are so cool. I love the 4 arm version of the bigger guy.
