I really like this figure and it's head sculpt. Will definitely be getting this one.

For [BEEP]'s sake, the toyline isn't offically out for another week, and we're seeing repaint rumors already?!

Repain RUMORS? I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly, but this is official. Sideswipe is also getting a blue repaint.

Personally though, I think Sideways looks better in bot mode. The colors just don't look right on Deadend. I'll probably get him, but keep him in alt mode and display Sideways in bot mode.

I think this version is better than the sideways(Barricade) one. Ill defiantly be swapping the heads around though. It does sadden me that the toy lines not even out yet in most places and theres already a frsk losd of repaints. At least most of em have resculpts.

Dammit my ROTF list just got 1 figure longer... I love the paint scheme but those ballerina feet? Odd choice..

He's a big improvement colour-wise over Sideways, but his head is just plain...cartoony? Hmmmmm, no idea on which one I should get...

LiKwid wrote:Dammit my ROTF list just got 1 figure longer... I love the paint scheme but those ballerina feet? Odd choice..

His ballerina foot is actually more of a toe - it's located on a plate that can be splayed out forwards such that his wheel-ankle touches the floor as well - looks much better that way (stock-photography also shows his feet positioned like that).

No he's not. He's getting a red repaint: Swerve.

So is this one. There will be two Dead Ends for this toyline (though, it is currently unknown what the relation to the two of them, if any, is).

Just as shocked as everyone else about repaints hitting the shelves and the actually figures arent even here yet, but this one is really good i think, and looks like i might have to get him and sideways and have my own Decepticon twins for my collection. The most wanted is Mixmaster and Long Haul for sure and then this guy, unless scrapper comes out soon and then hes a must as well...

That's really cool, the deco of the alt mode especially.

I think I'll skip the Sideways figure and get Dead End instead.

Is anyone else looking at those window/wing things and thinking this guy needs to be retooled as Kickback?

This repaint is pure love. I love the colors, the headsculpt, the awesome vehicle mode colors, and I'm a sucker for transparent purple plastic.

Maybe it's just me, but, ROTF SIDEWAYS and DEADEND appeal to me as modern versions of RUNAMUCK and RUNABOUT respectively. just like BARRICADE appeals to me as a modern version of the Decepticon Stormtrooper RAGE and BUMBLEBEE as the oblivionized BUMPER. :-?

Well, seeing as there has been Bumblebee -> Cliffjumper, Starscream -> Thundercracker, then there will definitely be a Silverbolt

As for this one... I think I'm tired of red repaints of Movie figures. Got enough of it with Cliffjumper, Salvage and countless others the first time around.

I expected Jetfire to be done in:

A. G1 Colours
B. Skyshadow to reference Cybertron
C. Jetstorm Blue

But back on Dead End. I like the look of him. I prefer him with Sideway's head. But anyway, I'm probably gonna pick it up once I see it. I have to say, I'm really impressed with this line and the repaints offer more. Although they better make a battle damaged Leader Optimus with holes in his head and everything............. or else! :-x

The robot mode red is really kind of in-your-face, it's a bit too gaudy IMO. I dunno, maybe it's the red underwear, but I think they could have at least forgone the red that's all over his neck and upper arms, it really creates quite a bit of a mismatched looking robot.

But the alt mode is the sex, it really is.

And by that do you mean sweaty, sloppy and not worth the effort for the final result? Or were you thinking more along the lines of "a few more shots of Jagermeister and I just might go for that!"
Cause nothing about either mode screams "so damn sweet it'll leave you gasping for more" to me. :P

Well you know... Once you go black, the inferior Transformers everyone else likes just won't do anymore.

Reminds me of the Alternator Dead End. I like it. Probably pass, though.

Looks pretty good. A little too much red in bot mode, and the face is oddly cartoony, but other than that, it's great. I'll be picking both him and Sideways up.

And yeah, I was reminded of Insecticons too.

Dead End? I dunno... looks like he'd make a much better Wildrider but alas that poor lil Stunticon seems lost to the wastes of history :(
