Well Optimus Prime was also up for People Magazine's man of the year before too. There is no Competition. Although I think Soundwave should've made the list!

1) He's awesome.

Isn't Mega Man a cyborg rather than a robot?
And Optimus Prime has been many things to many people. A role model, someone to look up to, a father figure in some cases from what I've heard, and all that a good leader can be. So it's no wonder that he took the top spot.

I can't believe that Data ranked as low as he did. Good list, though, and Optimus Prime is exactly where he should be.

He's more of a robot than Prime is- while the Transformers can be considered alien lifeforms by some instead of robots, Mega Man was specifically built from metal parts and polymers to serve humanity.
